Recently AMPED completed a project with Modern Niagara Group Inc. allowing us to be certified by the Canadian Green Building Council as a Zero Carbon Building Performance arena, certified for 2020 through the Canada Green Building Council’s Zero Carbon Building Program. AMPED has the distinction of being the first Ice Arena in North America and possibly the world to be designated a Zero Carbon Building This is positive news for our entire region, as a step towards impro...ving efficiency throughout the entire infrastructure industry, as well as placing Ottawa at the forefront of zero-carbon buildings. AMPED Sports Lab will be closing and halting all on ice activities for 28 days starting on Boxing day, December 26th as per the Provincial mandated lockdown. Players and goalies join forces to learn more about the position. Each student will spend 20 minutes with @c.armstrong2 player development coach, 20 minutes with @ampedgoaltending @amerce27 goaltender coach. They will learn the tendencies of each position, then come together in a 10 minute series of competitions to test the knowledge they gained. We are proud to be welcoming @c.armstrong2 to the Amped Family. Charlie grew up playing minor hockey in Stittsville where he transitioned to Sacred Heart Highschool where he played OFFSSA Top Tier hockey in his Senior Year. Charlie played a handful of Junior B games for the Renfrew Timberwolves and The Richmond Royals as he choose to give up the "dream" to pursue coaching. Charlie has been a coach in the Ottawa Silver Seven Organization for over 5 years as a full time assist...ant coach. Charlie has coached various competitive levels ranging from A,AA and AAA. Charlie has been working as a full time skills and development coach for over two years where he has provided training and mentoring for players accross all ages from Novice to Jr and NCAA. We are beyond exicted to have him on our staff and we look forward to you all having the chance of meeting him! See more

We are pleased to announce that as of Friday July 17th we are able to accommodate more students in our classes as gathering sizes increase in Ontario Our priority is still the safety our our clients and staff. Masks are still required inside the facility. Washrooms in the dressing rooms will remain closed. Players will arrive fully dressed with exception of skates, gloves and helmets, goalies can arrive with pants, knee pads and any hockey underwear, then finish dressing ins...ide the facility in one of our designated changing areas. At this point we are still not accepting any parents in the viewing area. AMPED is excited to finally be able to announce our re-opening date as July 4th! At this time, we will be able to re-open for skills training only with a limitation of 10 total people on the ice. As a result, we will not be offering our traditional summer camps, but instead filling our days with classes and programs. Our programming will be live for booking on June 27th and we will continue to adjust as more players are allowed on the ice and as visibility on what the upcomin...g hockey season will look like. At this point in time, due to the Ontario Emergency Orders, no rentals are permitted unless approved by Hockey Eastern Ontario (HEO) as part of a Minor Hockey Association Development program. In addition, we have strict health and safety measures in place that will be mandatory for admission to protect you and our staff. Good morning, I am sad to say that I will have to cancel our Eye-Hand session today. This was scheduled to be our last session as next week we are all in the Hockey Canada certification course, and the week after we might be able to skate!
