When Isaac and I sat down to chat about bringing his film-making over to live in the Ampersand Grey family, I was so excited with the possibilities. Now fast-forward a few wedding films under our belts and I’m BLOWN away at how he crafts these moments together. The hairs rises up on my arms when I watch them. We work along side each other seamlessly, maybe that’s because we’ve worked on more that 15 weddings together but its mostly due to Isaac’s chill demeanour. Here’s 5 fun... facts about our wedding films 1. These films ARE NOT a chronological representation of how your day looked. Anyone with a movie setting on their recording device can achieve that. That is not us. We don’t strive for ordinary. Templates and cookie cutter is not our jam. 2. These films capture the emotion and the feeling of the day. You hear the wind, you see the anticipation and your FEEEEEEEL the emotion. 3.They achieve the mood of YOUR day. Just like our photography we adapt to how your day looks. We have no preconceived shot lists before we set out to film your day. We capture things as they happen. If your day is upbeat, your film will be! If you are eloping on the side of a mountain (yes please!!) your film will be an intimate reflection of that. 4.You have the option to add on features that include full speeches or ceremony but these will not be including in your film unless you add them on. And they won’t be available after either. 5. You WILL have fun. You will be taken care of. Your happiness is our goal. You will be blown away by the 3-5 mins you feel after your wedding. Its pretty safe to say that my I feel strongly about allowing moments to happen on their own on a wedding day. Stepping away from a couple to just ‘be’ is when I catch moments like this that are completely natural and authentic. I had went over to the valet to get my vehicle and looked back and these two were hugging (okay maybe they were napping) in light that I couldn’t even plan. Magic, happy-meals, chicken nugs & tears, pretty much sums up Helen & Josh’s Fairmont Hotel Macdonald wedding this weekend. Thank you for your trust babes. Happy 2 days wedded!!
