If you’ve been in business long, you understand the importance of being able to pivot. And, when it comes to pivoting, Tim and his team at Fitset Ninja have it down pat. As you are probably well aware, the lockdown in March 2020 posed a huge cash flow issue for many gym owners as all Edmonton gyms were forced to close their doors indefinitely, Fitset Ninja included. Tim and his team tried transitioning Ninja Trainings online. But teaching ninja virtually doesn’t work well wh...en many of the viewers lack ninja equipment. That led to the Fitset Ninja team building Ninja workout kits. While it proved to be a hit among their members, the gym wasn’t bringing in the same amount of cash flow pre-lockdown. When Tim decided to spruce up the gym by painting the floors during lockdown, he had the idea of stripping the turf from the floor and selling it on Facebook Marketplace. Not even an hour later, they sold out. Luckily enough, a nearby city was auctioning off an entire soccer field’s worth of turf. Being the only bidder on the site, Tim was able to win all of the turf. For the next month, they would be selling turf like hot cakes and injecting more cash flow into the business. He’s even gone as far as importing a bulk order of turf overseas. This is only one of the many pivots Tim and Lance talk about throughout this episode. Check the entire thing at the link below!

Social media is fun and all, but is it driving traffic to your website? And if it is, what percentage of your website visitors are converting into purchasing customers? In Google Analytics you can set up conversion goals and track every move that is made on your website, see exactly where your web traffic is coming from, what content they engage with on your website, purchases and all kinds of helpful insights. Remember, just because you have high traffic coming from one pl...atform, doesn’t mean that most of your converting customers are coming from there, too. For example, if you notice that your Facebook posts are receiving less engagement than your Instagram ones, but your website traffic from Facebook makes up more of your converting customers, then perhaps you should spend more time creating Facebook content. Or, maybe your Instagram is driving the most traffic and conversions out of all of the social platforms you’re on, then you could focus the majority of your attention on Instagram. Whatever you’re doing, it’s important to track and analyze what is driving traffic, and conversions so you can ensure your efforts and time are being spent on driving your business forward.
