Have you been looking for a yoga class that tends to your grieving self? There aren't a ton of these yoga classes out there, unfortunately. After crea...ting and offering yoga for grief support groups here in Edmonton since 2010, I saw a need for this service beyond the reaches of my home town...so I set out and created an online program. I've been offering this online program for 4 years now, and have had participants from all over the world. Although I have always valued online programming, the Covid pandemic has shone a new light on just how important connecting virtually is, when there isn't a way to connect in person. Especially in the realm of mental health support, when you need it. As such, I've enhanced my online program to be more supportive, and more interactive. My mission is to have this program reach anyone who needs it - so I'm glad you are here, reading this post. Perhaps we will connect more online. See the link in bio for more info (it’s the one that says "online support") REGISTRATION OPENS SEPT 21 #yogaforgriefsupport #grief #onlinesupport #griefandloss #onlineyoga #griefgroup

Our anger may be a message that we are being hurt, that our rights are being violated, or simply that something is not right. Our anger may be a message that we... are compromising too much of our self in a relationship. Our anger may be a signal that we are doing more or giving more than we can comfortably do or give. Or our anger may warn us that others are doing too much for us at the expense of our own competence and growth. Our anger can motivate us to say no to the ways we are defined by others, and yes to the authentic needs and desires of our own self. Anger signals the necessity for change, and thus our anger can be threatening to those who want to maintain the status quo. See more

Our guest and EFT colleague, Dr Yamonte Cooper told us in our recent episode on racism, we need to really know about the long and complex history of slavery and... black oppression in the US. If we don't understand it, we don't see how racism is a rejection by society and how this can be internalized as shame. If we get the context we can make personal and policy changes. There is is so much here to think about.
