The results are in and I am thrilled to be joining the LUSU Board of Directors in the coming term of office! You can see the unofficial results here: https://bit.ly/31tEskz. Miigwech, thank you to everyone who voted, regardless of how you did. It is so important that students have their say on who represents them and within the decision making processes of the students' union. I am encouraged to see that turnout stayed at a high (19.9%) but I know we can do even better when ...it comes to engagement, both during the year and next election. To all the candidates who ran, thank you for your efforts. It takes courage to put your name forward. For all those who join the new Board, I look forward to working with you over the next year. To all students, know that your voice does matter. I know that together, we will renew LUSU. Let's get to work. In solidarity, Brandon Rhéal Amyot [email protected]

Strengthening Our Union Students have expressed feeling disengaged from LUSU and from the student movement. This isn’t because of a lack of interest or care, but rather because our union needs to bring people in. Participating in LUSU’s operations needs to be more accessible, we need to engage more with members and act on their input, and we need to revamp our constitution and governance. Meetings should always be made open to members, advertised ahead and live-streamed, and we should be holding more space for input and questions. #RenewLUSU
