Good morning! I wanted to take this time to reach out to everyone collectively as Ive had many phone calls emails in regards to the statues of the shop. Mid March we decided to close to the public due to COVID 19, orders remained. To protect my own heath I then stopped booking orders while this blew over. Unfortunately social distancing is the new norm for months to come and so again Mark and I sat down and talk about what the future of the business looks like and how... to stay safe and healthy. Ultimately We decided to close the current location and to focus on wholesale and cakes to create a more sustainable work life balance. This will take time. We have amazing connections in the community and have discussed different options of potentially renting kitchen space in order to continue doing what I love. Ill take advantage of Markets (next season) and Pop Ups/ Events around the Georgian Bay Area. But most importantly we would like you all to know THIS IS NOT GOODBYE, its see you later! I want to Thank everyone who has reached out and offered support, this is not an easy time for any of us, we will all have to make changes that suit our family best. Weve had a brick and mortar location for nearly 4 years (between the small shop and this location) and I wouldnt change a thing! Thank you all for the love and experiences each one of you bring, the shop wouldnt have been successful without YOU! Day 7! The starter is easy moving with great aroma, like yesterday Ill reduce the water on this feed. I tested the started in a glass of warm water and it seems close to being ready.
