I wanted to test out some pumpkins a week before the big photo session day, so big thanks to my mom, sister and friend who helped me out (and my sister for taking a few of me!). Eventhough this has been a doozy of a year I am so thankful for my family. My favourite part of the day is when we all sit down for dinner and pick a tv show to watch. We've gone through a few series on Netflix and Prime, and have a few regular favourites. We each have a night we cook dinner so one person doesn't have to make dinner every night. Fun fact, Jen, Dad and I are all photographers! We also have family photos dating back to the 1900s in Vancouver. It truly runs in t...he family. I'm also thankful for every family I get to meet and photograph, I hope you enjoy your images as much as I do creating them! I wish you all a safe and happy rest of this year, I wonder what 2021 will bring us!!

If you know me, you know I love a bright coloured wall! I know were a bunch are located throughout the city but I'm always on the lookout for more. I find they add a little something extra to a session, a little pop, and who doesn't want to smile infront of a beautiful candy coloured bright wall?!!

Well if you're like me you're still waiting for our summer to start here in BC. I have been lucky though to have a few photo sessions on our rare sunny days with some addorable kiddos. Did you know we have beautiful lavender fields in the valley? Oh yes!!! You can imagine you're walking in Provence while soaking up a bit of sunshine. Just remember to wear some mosquito repellent, they will get you out there!!

Here is another great location! It's a fairly new properity to our parks and in Port Coquitlam. There are two lagoons, so many birds, apparently a fox (who I have yet to see) and beautiful long grass and trees which make this spot wonderful backdrop for photos.

I'm so excited to start photograping families again! I am taking bookings starting June 19th right through the summer. I thought I would start to share some of my favourite photo locations around the Lower Mainland. First up is Granville Island more of a urban location with colourfull walls, many different alleys and beautiful city views. Parking can sometimes be a chore but it's worth it! Even on a rainy day this is a great location. If you would like to book a session, let me know so we can have a conversation!

Last weekend I photographed a few families from a very safe distance. They were 10 minutes long called Front Porch Sessions. You may have seen them in your feed, a lot of photographers around the world have been offering them at this time. I have to say that it was so great to photograph some happy faces with my telephoto lens and to be able to edit some new photos on my computer. We have all be having our ups and downs, but I feel that we should document this time in our lives so that we can look back and know that we all got through it together.

Stay close to people who feel like sunshine

I love going to the beach for family sessions. It's so west coast of us! I adore this family to bits, plus can we talk about the perfect light we had for thier session? I've been lucky to document them for the last four years, and hope to photograph them for many more years to come

I really love in home sessions. THIS little brother and sister duo will steal your hearts. Tao's hair #1 is amazing and Zoe's smile and caring for her little brother is so heartwarming. I even was able to take a little walk in the rain with Zoe who loves umbrellas! What a great day!!

Photographing these two sisters was so much fun. The two of them at home being adorable and I know they are ready to take on the world together. <3

It has been a few years now that I have been offering fine art school photography in addition to my family photography. When you are so excited to see a family you haven't seen in awhile, and the day is beautiful and sunny, the photos, laughs and smiles are endless. I am so grateful to live on the West Coast where the outdoors is my studio.

This is why I take so many photos of kids when I do school photos! And I talk to them about their favourite colour, animal even ice cream. It's hard for them to relax infront of a stranger and even a larger camera when they are used to an iPhone! This little guy still got some adorable photos but when you receive 8-10 poses to choose from it makes such a huge difference! <3

As I mentioned over on Instagram, I would say 90% of my family sessions are with parents and their young kids. I think that's why I loved this session so much, I don't get to photograph teens much and I think it's great when parents book sessions with their older kids! I try to make everyone laugh as much as possible and we take a lot of different shots so the photos in the end are worth it!

So here's our wildflower photo session on a little piece of land beside the road! I wanted to show you that you that with a little imagination and different camera angles you can make a tiny piece of land look like a beautiful wildflower wilderness.

Do you think I could get some amazing photos here? I drive by the Port Coquitlam fire hall a lot and see wild flowers growing in front of it but what can you really do with a little piece of land, off a busy street and in front of a parking lot? Check back tomorrow and I'll post some after photos!

The Baldwin family always has me like I'm always so happy to see them and this time there were two adorable additions to the family! Loved catching up and capturing some more memories for all of you.
