Hello We are continuing to offer free passive house tours at 21638 48 ave by appointment call 604 833 9605... Maximum 2 persons mask is required we have hand sanitizer on sie and ask that guests use it in case they touch anything during the tour preferably guests will bring the own hand sanitizer and use some upon arrival to insure a best ezperience for both us and them we ask persons to respect our 10 feet social distance requirement and not to come if they feel sick the attached photos are our most recent power bill from BC Hydro You will note that in the past 12 month period we are in a net positive power balance of 5200 KWH (kilowatt hours) Over the past year we had a zero power cost and BC Hydro is paying us over $500 It is also noteworthy that we are also getting free electricity to power our electric car and that is included in the BC Hydro invoice On the tour guests will learn how easy it is and very cost effective. Princess and the Pea B & B --- To increase the performance of our windows we are installing shutters. They can be closed to block hot summer sun or be closed on... cold winter nights to keep the house warmer. They also create blackout if you want to sleep in 100% darkness. Another benefit they completly block sound if you want a quieter sleep. For security conscious persons they add an extra level of security when you are sleeping or just want more security.I would be curious to have feedback on the shutters. The shutters are over 2 inches thick with a styrofoam core and are rated at R10. See more
