Having a #home is a basic right. A home is more than the four walls of our dwelling or house. As the dictionary definition goes, home is "a place for feeling of belonging"... Many refugees around the world don't have this basic need. Did you know that today, 1% of the world’s population - 82.4 million people are displaced and in condition of refugees or seeking refuge? This number has grown almost twice in the last decade. Why? Crisis have contributed to this increase in numbers, namely the continuous conflicts in Sirya, Afganistan, and more recently the Ethiopian Crisis and the Venezuelan humanitarian crisis. Did you know that Venezuelans now place second in the world in number of refugees? This was unthinkable 35 years ago when I was a child. It is estimated that 4 million Venezuelans are refugees in different places around the world. All refugee crisis have in common the violence and denial of rights that leave innocent families with no choice but to flee their lands and walk into the unknown. Today is a good day to be profoundly #grateful for having a home and for the safety of our families and our loved ones. #refugees #venezuelancrisis #humanitariancrisis #displacement #humanrights #worldpeace

To visualize our future, we sometimes look at the past, to know where we come from. Growing up in Venezuela, I remember the school times when I would draw and colour 3 small ships sailing on the enormous blue ocean. I wondered what Chris Columbus (Cristobal Colón) thought when his expedition reached land. ... And often also think about my teachers and the elders in my family talking about the rich civilizations that existed in the vast land we now know as South America before... Columbus' arrival and all the sad events that followed. No matter our different views on colonization, our land now holds an amazing variety of history, cultures, people and traditions sharing the journey together. #columbusday #america #discoveringamerica #oct12 #12ofoctober #diadelaraza #diadeladiversidadcultural #diadeldescubrimientodeamerica

When I was learning English, I was told the story of the first American Thanksgiving, but until I moved to Quebec, I didn’t know how Canadian Thanksgiving came about. Living here and being involved with the local culture and history, I learned that less than celebrating the harvest, it was about thanking God for keeping early explorers safe in their jorney through the new territories. Today, the tradition is primarily focused on family, being grateful for every single day i...n this world, celebrate what we are and share what we have. Happy Canadian Thanksgiving! #thanksgiving #family #canadianthanksgiving #sharing #food #october11 #Monday #inlovewithquebec

Any admiration I had for the teacher profession was multiplied by a gazillion thousand times more after covid happened.... In the school year 2020 - 2021 when there was no vaccine in sight great uncertainty about treatments and the virus was spreading at an accelerated rate, teachers across Québec went back to the classrooms. Armed with their vocation that moves mountains and their love for their students, and their courage to play their part in our society. Teachers always there for us. I think they are just such heroes! happy teacher's day across Canada and everywhere else out there :) #teachersday #teachersday2021 #teachersareheroes #quebec #canada

The land dresses in orange Everywhere I look waves and waves of orange appear a summit of the leaves... arriving from far away gathering in numbers above us burdened with a message from the roots and from all the land. It is loud I can hear them all say I was there, I was there we were all there. first the little ones tickled the ground with their sweet running around and the wind carried their song everywhere but then, we couldn't hear them I cant feel them, the ground said where they've gone? where? where? and the wind blew strong everywhere looking for them and then we had to take them in. (pause) And so we took them in, as the ground always does like a mother oh the sorrow we can still feel it the skies cried and the rain fell it wasn't their time we just cant forget. So you can always have summer and our green dresses but every autumn when the breeze turns cold we dress in orange, the leaves say, to honour those that couldn't sing their entire song. And when the winter comes we will fall with them in an embrace that will last all the ages. we can't wait. Our last dance is orange for all to know for all to remember. #truthandreconciliationday #reconciliation #neverforgotten #truthandreconciliation #orangeribbon #love #hope

Three exciting events in Supply Chain history. It would be difficult to summarize the whole history of supply chain through the years in one post, but there’s no doubt that some events can be noted as significant milestones in its history over the last century. Let’s review some of them:... " " : It was in an independent newspaper, referring to wartime activities. , The introduction of mass production along assembly lines, first successfully implemented by Ford, laid the foundations for supply chain management. : Maybe you know that drones had been a long serving tool for the Military. But what if I told you that you can use them as a delivery method? No traffic, no emissions and straight to their destination. It is estimated the drone market is now worth around $10 billion. Can you mention any other event you consider relavant in supply chain history? #globalcommunity #supplychain #sourcing #community #supplychainhistory #supplierrelationshipmanagement #smes #pmes #recycling #dronesinbusiness

Remember runing your fingers through the curly cable? Looking at vintage phones makes me remember a time that no longer exist. When I was little and I ran like crazy and jumped through any obstacles to answer the phone. What would you say to your childhood self if you could call to your home phone into the past?... I am sure you remember the number #vintage #nostalgia #thepast #memories #goodvibes #lifeisbeautiful #socialcurators

This summer we took a memorable trip to Québec City. There we visited the - where we are in this picture. We enjoyed seeing Amerindien Art, Contemporary Art, Paintings by Québec Artists of the 20th century, and no less than a Pablo Picasso exhibit. ...
