REAL TALK Difference between Day of Coordination VS Month of Coordination? Lately, we have been getting a lot of questions around this topic. It was about time I made a post about it.... Let’s just say, Day of coordination does not really exist. We call it the Month of Coordination. Think about it- In order for your wedding day to run smoothly, the coordinator needs to be aware of all your vendors correct? Now how will that happen if we just show up the day of your wedding? We have NO idea who your vendors are nor do we have any idea of the itinerary. How will we execute the day flawlessly? In order for your wedding planner/coordinator to successfully carry out your wedding day, we need to come on board at-least 4-6 weeks prior to your big day. Here at Anamika Events, we will create the itinerary for you 6 weeks prior to your big day. We will communicate with all your vendors and will be their point of contact. We also do a site visit to get to know the physical aspects of the venue even if we have worked at that venue previously. Can you imagine waking up the morning of your wedding day and not stressing out about a single thing? Not stressing out about decor and if its going to be done on time, or making sure your makeup artist who knows where to come. How to choose the right Wedding Planner for your big day? In my opinion, the most important factor is to find someone that you personally click with from the start. Unlike other wedding vendors, wedding planners do not have a visual portfolio. We rely mostly on word of mouth and clients reviews.... - Talk compensation early on: to save yourself some disappointment you need to ensure that your planners fees work within your budget - Meet up with your planner face-to-face: Virtual communication is a great starting point, but you can only get so far through emails and phone calls. If you’d like to move forward, I suggest an in-person meeting as your next step (or a zoom call of-course during covid times) - Ask questions: For all those who know me know how much I love answering questions. My goal is to ensure that you leave the meeting without ANY doubts. Remember, no question is a stupid question so ask away! - Make sure your personalities connect: At the end of the day, you want to hire a wedding planner that you will enjoy working with.
