Good morning everyone, I hope you have a wonderful Friday. As we approach the weekend we tend to drink other substances such as coffee, pop, alcohol etc. It’s important to remember to stay hydrated with the most important fluid of all.... water!! Here are some benefits of why you should drink more water: 1. Help maintain balance of your bodies fluids, which can help aid digestion, create saliva, transport nutrients and maintain body temperature. 2. Control calories. That’s r...ight, water has been used for years by dieters to help as a weight loss strategy. Substitute your high calorie beverages for a nice glass of water instead. You’re cutting calories and hydrating your body, it’s a win win! 3. Energize Muscles. Cells that don’t maintain their balance of fluids and electrolytes shrivel, which can cause muscle fatigue. Make sure to drink plenty of water when your exercising or breaking a sweat. 4. Water can help clear up your skin. Your skin contains plenty of water, and functions as a protective barrier to prevent excess fluid loss. 5. Water helps your kidneys! When you're getting enough fluids, urine flows freely, is light in color and free of odor. When your body is not getting enough fluids, urine concentration, color, and odor increases because the kidneys trap extra fluid for bodily functions. So keep your kidneys healthy and drink some water. 6. Water Helps Maintain Normal Bowel Function. Adequate hydration keeps things flowing along your gastrointestinal tract and prevents constipation.
