As summer comes to an end, and schools once again reopen, we would like to wish all of you a happy and healthy Labour Day weekend! We are grateful to partner with organizations committed to providing great work environments and ongoing support.
As many pandemic restrictions begin to lift, it is important to communicate with transparency and engage employees. Just as the onset of pandemic restrictions and lockdowns were difficult, it is safe to assume that reopening will bring forth struggles of its own. Now, more than ever, employers should provide consistent and honest communication, conduct regular check-ins, and find opportunities to motivate and engage their employees. https://anchor-hr.com/blog/how-to-engage-retain-employees

During a roundtable led by Visier, our Jessica Collins spoke with Ian Cook about People Analytics highlighting the ways in which organizations can begin implementing these practices into their workplace. Using our change model, organizations can develop effective change management practices, supported by Visier's technology.

Today is National Indigenous Peoples Day! At this time, it is especially important that we recognize and celebrate First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. #NIHM2021 Building awareness is the first step to creating more inclusive and respectful workplaces. We encourage you to learn more about the accomplishments and needs of these communities by visiting the following pages: https://www.facebook.com/NACCAinfo/... The National Aboriginal Capital Corporations Association supports economic development and the unique and specific needs of Small and Medium Sized Enterprises in Indigenous communities. https://www.facebook.com/CanadianCouncilforAboriginalBusiness The mission of the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business is to promote, strengthen, and enhance a prosperous Indigenous economy through the fostering of business relationships, opportunities, and awareness for its members.

In this month and always, we celebrate and support our LGBTQ2S+ colleagues and community! Thank you for all that you bring to your workplaces and society as a whole. May joy, awareness, and advocacy bring special meaning during the celebration this month, propelling us forward in our efforts to achieve full equity, inclusion, and belonging. #Pride
The goal of our Respect in the Workplace #training is to establish a clear understanding of our shared rights and expectations for a respectful work environment. Together, we will define respect in the workplace and explore the employees’ role in supporting a positive team culture. Learning strategies to mitigate #unconsciousbias and manage conflict. https://www.anchor-hr.com/training
We have a shared responsibility to prevent and respond to complaints of respect in the workplace. We recommend online Respect in the Workplace #training to help you integrate aspects of respect and inclusion into your organizational culture. https://www.anchor-hr.com/training

Our CEO, Pauline James, was interviewed by Linda White on employee engagement & retention for the Toronto Sun! One of her recommendations includes: Often with announcements, we want to blow the horn too much and want to be overly positive. The leaders who have really shone for us across North America are empathetic and they’re also candid. They tell us exactly what’s going on. We wish you all a happy and healthy Labour Day weekend! With more workplaces and schools reopening, our ongoing commitment to safety, wellness, and fairness is essential.
In a webinar with Rob Friday from Predictive Success Corporation, Certified Partner for The Predictive Index, our Principal Pauline James shared how effective leaders during the COVID-19 crisis have acknowledged that it is not business as normal. They are understanding and flexible with their teams. In such difficult times, we recommend a balance between priorities and expectations, with clarity on what success looks like.
We wish everyone a safe and happy Canada Day! We are proud to live in a country with highly educated and talented people who value respect and equity. We recognize the importance to take time, today especially, to honour this land's Indigenous Peoples. We are reflecting on the history of our nation and our strong potential looking forward. Happy Birthday, Canada!
We are wishing all of our LGBTQ+ colleagues and community a safe and happy Pride! As we celebrate this month, we continue to unite in the work toward equity and inclusion.
Everyone has a basic need to be treated with dignity and respect. In the workplace, it is important to build a mission-oriented culture where teams actively seek out each other's opinions and feel safe speaking up.
