Big news from the Anchor Home Comfort Team! "After over 35 years on Youville Drive in Orleans, we have outgrown the location and are in the process of moving. It’s the end of an era, Anchor is the longest serving business in our building on Youville Drive. We opened there in May of 1986. Over the years we expanded into the neighbouring unit and rented several off-site warehouses, but we have finally outgrown all the space available to us.... For the last two years we have been looking for a suitable space to rent. It took us a while but we finally found a great east end location! Our new address is: 1181 Parisien St Ottawa, ON K1B 3N3 This location is tucked in very close to the 417/174 split allowing our crews quick access to Orleans, the 417 to Russell and Embrun, and all points west. We now have a much larger warehouse and we’re close to many of our suppliers. The larger warehouse means we can stock a lot more equipment this will help us manage the supply chain issues we have been seeing for the past year and a half. For you, this means if you need a new furnace this winter, there’s a much better chance we will have it in stock and be able to get you back and running quickly. We ask for your patience over the next week or so as we get settled into our new location. There will be new phone systems, computer upgrades, and getting familiar with a whole new surrounding. It is with great sadness for our team but great happiness for Mary-Lou that we announce her retirement from the Anchor Home Comfort family. "Most of you have spoken with Mary-Lou over the past 13 years. She has been able to get to know you, your schedules, and your families and pets by name. She has worked tirelessly getting technicians to your door as promised, making sure you had your maintenance performed, and juggling calls when one of you was without heat or cooling. ...We announced to our team in the spring that we will be moving to a larger, more central location, and that will happen in a few weeks (more on that in a later update). Mary-Lou thought that this move would be a good time to embrace retirement and spend some time with her family, friends and her beloved Schnauzer, Samantha. The entire team at Anchor will miss Mary-Lou. We ask for your patience as we adjust to a new way of operating our dispatch board. We expect there will be some bumps along the way; however, rest assured that the team that has taken care of you all these years will work extra hard to fill the void that Mary-Lou will leave. As an essential service we are continuing to provide emergency service, maintenance and equipment replacements to our customers. Has your furnace been Red-Tagged? Let us know and we will give you a free second opinion! Red-Tagging is a rare occurrence that happens when an HVAC technician discovers a critically dangerous problem with a furnace, such as a carbon monoxide leak.
