Hi folks, With so much information sent our way on any given day, we wanted to make sure that our customers know that we continue to be an essential service and will remain open! Our community has done a fantastic job of adhering to and respecting the regulations and suggestions set out by the government - keep up the amazing work! That being said, we will continue to operate in the same manner we have since the pandemic hit just over 300 days ago. Our office will remain c...losed to the public and all communication/payments will continue either over the telephone or online. We ask that if you have a question, or would like to make an appointment, etc, you give us a call, send an email or send a message on our Facebook page instead of dropping by. At this time, we are down a member (Kristen) as she is home with the kids so please bear with us on the office side of things as that responsibility now falls on Craig / Kristen from home. Today, we wrap up our annual Oil Change Fundraiser for the Arnprior Food Bank! To celebrate our 10 years in business, we decided to donate $10 from every oil change and we are absolutely THRILLED to be able to present the Arnprior Food Bank with $1860!!! That’s 186 oil changes from Nov 1st - Dec 24th! There is no greater gift than the gift of giving, and no better way to end this crazy, unprecedented, difficult year we call 2020. Thank you to all our wonderful customers wh...o booked in and made this donation possible, and thank you to our staff, Ian and Steve, for their great work ethic during our busiest time of the year! Did you know that Anderson Automotive is a Napa Auto Care Centre? What does this mean for our customers? It means that each and every NAPA part we install on your vehicle is backed by a 12 month/20,000km peace of mind warranty which includes the part itself AND the labour! Recently upgraded from 6 months to 12 months, the labour warranty along with the warranty on the part truly does offer total peace of mind! And all of this comes to you, our customer, at NO additional c...ost! This warranty also covers you North America wide! If you’re 40km + away from our shop, you will be taken care of by your closest Napa Auto Care Centre should you experience a failure with a Napa part installed within the past 12 months! Does it get any better than that? Reach out if you have any questions for us regarding this program! *Many parts come with a longer warranty period such as 3 year, 5 year or lifetime warranty. The original warranty period will always be honoured, but the labour warranty will be capped at 12 months should the part ever need to be replaced again.

We ALL know how busy fall tire season gets during a regular year... this year, with all the challenges we’re facing (both known and unknown at this point), we are STRONGLY urging our customers to start thinking about booking your tire changeover very soon! One thing that is for certain in this time of great uncertainty, the snow *IS* coming, whether we like it or not. Get ahead of the game, and cross winter tires off your to-do list! If you are in need of new winter tires this year, most manufacturer rebates will be in effect as of October 1st, so it’s a great time to get those tires ordered and take advantage of some money back! We will post a list of eligible rebates very soon, so keep watch! We’re SO excited to announce the newest member to the team, our co-op student, Cole Carpenter! Cole is a Grade 12 student at ADHS, and is interested in possibly pursuing a career in the automotive repair industry! He brings with him a positive attitude and great work ethic, and we are super happy to have him! Welcome, Cole!

Please be extra patient with our school busses this year, especially! Let’s keep all of our kiddies safe!

September already - here we go! We will be making the most of this last long weekend of summer, and therefore, will be closed as of 5pm on Thursday, September 3rd and will re-open on Tuesday, September 8th at 8am! Wishing all of the 2020 graduates a huge congratulations on all of your accomplishments! A special congratulations goes out to our big girl, Eadey, who is graduating Senior Kindergarten and headed to Grade 1 in the fall! Traditionally celebrating this milestone is just one more thing that Covid has taken from our family, and all families with graduates from kindergarten through to college/university... but each student who was able to overcome and persevere will be that much stronger in the end. Thinking of you all, and wishing you the very best in the future!

For the first time in almost 10 years, these bay doors will be closed throughout the summer months... don’t worry; we are still very much OPEN, but will now be working in an air conditioned shop! Our office, however, remains closed so we can continue to practice safe social distancing. Please give us a call or send a Facebook message to book your appointment, or with any questions you may have! Our key drop box is located just outside the office door for anyone dropping off a vehicle. We hope you are all able to stay cool during these warm summer months ahead!

YES!!! The May long weekend is here to kick off summer! Fingers crossed we don’t see any more snow! The shop will be closed today at noon, as well as the holiday Monday, but will re-open on Tuesday, May 19th. At this time of the year with seasonal tire changeovers, you may hear us use the term Hub Service or see it on your invoice. A lot of people may not know what... a hub service is or why it’s so important. When your steel wheels are on all winter long, they are actually only contacting the hub at a few small points; this leaves the rest of the surface open and prone to corrosion. If this corrosion isn’t removed before installing your wheels, it makes a sort of corrosion sandwich between the rim and the hub surface. This causes uneven pressure between the two mating surfaces which can damage the wheel and/or the hub, and even cause the wheel nuts to not maintain the proper torque. This is a crucial step in installing rims on vehicles that is often overlooked, especially if the owner does the tire changeover themselves. Aluminum wheels are unforgiving in this regard as there is little to no positive pressure or flex to the wheel like there is on their steel counterparts. I hope this helps people understand what a hub service is and why it’s such an important part of the wheel installation on your vehicle! Good morning! We wanted to take a moment to say thank you to all of our customers for being so patient and so cooperative with the new social distancing measures that are in place. It seems like this may have to continue for some time, so if anyone has any suggestions on how we can make this easier, we are all ears! Providing everyone stays healthy and we are allowed to remain open, we will continue to operate as we have this week (Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm - drop offs only!)... On that note, if possible, we would request that customers give their vehicles a quick (but thorough) wipe down with disinfectant wipes before their appointment, and remove any debris/waste as these items may carry the virus we are all working so hard to avoid. Just a reminder, if you have any symptoms, have recently travelled or have been in contact with someone who has, PLEASE postpone or reschedule your appointment to a later date. To our valued customers, In the weeks ahead, we believe it is necessary for everyone to do what they can to stop the spread of the COVID 19 virus. Medical officials expect a surge in cases following March Break travel. Due to this, Anderson Automotive will be taking the following measures: -We will remain open at this time, however, beginning Monday, March 23rd, we will be operating with a virtual office. The office door will be locked. This means, all appointments will be dr...op off only (keys through the key drop box) and payments will be processed via phone or email. You will be notified when your vehicle is ready for pick up (and we will discuss key pick up at that time). -Our technicians will be taking extra precautions with your vehicle such as hand washing, gloves, etc. -The phones have been forwarded to our home, as Craig and Kristen are on a 14 day isolation. If we cannot answer the phone, please leave a message and we will call you back. We will provide support to our technicians remotely, and strive to provide the same level of customer service as you’ve come to expect. We are also available through fb messaging at any time. ***If you are not feeling well, have any symptoms of the virus, have travelled recently or have been in contact with someone who has, we ask that you schedule your appointments at a later time. These measures are to protect the health of our employees and to support the overall health of our community*** Please note, there may be parts delays as warehouses may be operating with reduced staff however we will keep you fully informed. The stricter we can be about these measures, the sooner they will not need to be in place. If we all do our part, we can continue to serve the community through this crisis in a safe manner however, should the virus become more serious in our area, and we feel that our staff and families are at risk, we will be forced to close temporarily. COVID-19 Update: As we follow the situation closely, we would like to inform our customers that for the time being, the shop will remain open, unless the situation changes. We will take it day by day and we will keep you informed. For the safety of our employees and fellow customers, we urge you to please PLEASE re-schedule your appointments or postpone booking your appointments should you have recently travelled internationally, are currently in self-isolation/quarantine O...R if you are experiencing any of the symptoms associated with COVID-19. We have employees, family members and customers who are at high risk and our main priority is keeping everyone safe and healthy. That being said, the shop will continue to operate with reduced staff as Craig and I will be self-isolating until approximately April 6th. We’ve just received an important safety recall from Cooper! If you have tire size 225/50R17 and have either the Cooper Evolution Tour or Starfire Solarus AS tires, please contact either us or Cooper to determine if your tire is one that has been recalled! Other tires affected (but not sold by us) are the Mastercraft Stratus AS and SRT Touring.
