Thank you to all who have served. Today is the first day my family lays a #RemembranceDay wreath for my Grandfather who served in the Air Force and passed away last year. Normally, in our communities across Canada, we would be paying our respects for veterans at the cenotaph with the pippers pipping, planes flying overhead, singing O Canada shoulder to shoulder, and listening to poetry with tears in our eyes. Today we honour all those who have served in a safe, physically di...stanced manner. Due to COVID my Grandmother will hang a ceremonial wreath for my Grandfather on her fence with poppies representing our family members. I will be joining my parents on a walk in the forest and we will pause to pay our respects. Please respect and honour our veterans today in a way that is meaningful to you and keeps our community safe. I love you Grandpa and I miss you.

The final count is complete and I am so honoured to be elected MLA for Nelson-Creston. This victory belongs to all the volunteers, donors and supporters. I am so grateful to each of you. Thank you! From Argenta to Yahk, I will work hard to be your dedicated Kootenay voice in Victoria.

THANK YOU! I feel tremendously supported by our community. Thank you to all the organizers, volunteers, the people who called, put out signs, scrutinered, delivered leaflets, came out to wave signs, donated and voted! This is why I am so in love with my home. The people make this place so special with their creativity, dedication, enthusiasm, and spark. Now we wait for the results to roll in. Please know how much gratitude I have for all of you!
