This is Ione Anderson’s Grandpa George Staniland who served in WW1. He never spoke about the war other then to tell his sons he would cut their trigger fingers off before they were ever enlisted. He was a victim of gas attacks in Europe (possibly Yepres) which hindered his health for the rest of his life.

Winter has arrived at ACC whether we like it or not. I enjoy the slower pace of winter, the daily chore routine. I hate blizzards and frozen water bowls like everyone else but there’s still something nice about winter and it makes us appreciate spring all that much more.

Very excited to be part of the founding Red Angus Herd at Olds College .

I hope we found them all. 250 through the chute today. Good day of Preg checking and sorting the younger cows into their own group.

Leah purchased a very nice heifer from Redline Livestock at the recent Red Round Up

Today’s project was upgrading a few sections of our sorting corral to drill stem and sucker rod. Gate sure swings nice now that it’s not on a broken post.
