When it comes to #money there is no shortage of misconceptions. Well-meaning but mistaken people often spread the misconceptions to family and friends. So, when it comes to estate planning, there are two that people tend to assume. 1. When I die, my family can sell my house to pay for my final expenses. 2. When I die, everything will go to my common-law spouse. The best way to ensure that your family is taken care of is by talking to a expert and forming an estate plan. Be...ing an executor of an estate can be very hard. You want to make sure it’s a smooth process for your loved ones. For questions or guidance on starting the estate planning process, reach out to me today. #estateplanning #legacyplanning https://www.sunlife.ca//financial-myths-and-realities-su/
Permanent Insurance A great way to cover off "final expenses" such as funeral, taxes owed on death, legacy to family, or even retirement planning with higher cash value plans. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=67-eIna94Rc
Term Insurance A great way to protect your short term debts including mortgage, student loans, credit cards, or line of credits. Also consider loss of income and how that would affect your family. Some people chose to use term insurance as an insurability factor knowing that it can be converted down the road to a permanent policy with no medical underwriting. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rfnFkUSyrsQ
RRSPs can be a great way to save for retirement. Any money you contribute reduces your taxable income for that given year. It is a tax deferred investment that when invested properly based on your risk tolerance, has the potential to grow over time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dRXlGrDO8NI
Over the next few weeks I will be posting short videos to help educate others about the financial planning process, life insurance, wealth management and a few other topics. If you have any questions don't hesitate to reach out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kukZHhKhR8Y

Majority of client conversations I will ask about their kids and if they have started planning. It can sometimes catch a client off guard, and get them thinking why would my young child need to start planning. Its never to early to incorporate our children into the conversation. Full disclosure, each of my children have life and health policies and we have a family RESP for post secondary schooling. IF you have any questions after reading the article below, feel free to send ...a DM. https://www.advisor.ca//how-advisors-are-connecting-with-/
I'm optimistic on the market outlook for this year given the recent downtrends. There has been a lot of money flooding into the markets from retail investors over the last year decreasing some liquidity issues and pumping it up to all time highs. The best time to start investing is yesterday but the next best time is now. Get your money working for you. https://www.businessinsider.com/stock-market-forecast-sp-40
A lot of rumour's lately about Life Insurance not paying if you die from the COVID vaccine. This is 100% false. It is being spread by select people looking to stir up gossip. Don't always believe what you hear on social media! https://www.clhia.ca//CFFB22AA8524D58385258692004DDFFC!Ope
Virtual meetings are here to stay. It's one of the most convenient methods we've come across since a basic phone call. Clients don't have to clean their house before I show up, clients don't have to drive to the office, or for that matter you can dress in your most comfortable clothes and we can review everything as normal from the couch. Our zoom meetings have been modified with special security features to ensure all information is held in complete confidentiality. If you're interested in this type of meeting, just let me know. https://www.sunlife.ca/en/campaign/connect-video/
Done and Done. On to the next designation.
Anyone that knows me knows that I love the markets. Being a self taught investor was not easy in the beginning but now knowing how to read charts and use technical analysis to my advantage makes it much more enjoyable and fun. - Dow Jones From the March 23 lows it has had about a 75% bounce back and seems to be in a consolidation pattern - S&P500 From the March 23 lows it has had about a 91% bounce back and is about 29bps from its next resistance. If it can break through that... we could get back to the Feb 19th highs - Nasdaq From the March 24 lows tech companies have pumped this to a full recovery and actually being about 33% higher than the Feb 19th highs. The Nasdaq has never been this high and with tech continuing to lead the charge it’ll be interesting to see how high this goes. This is in no way professional advice as I am only licensed to sell mutual funds but as you can see with all the indicators in the charts I absolutely love watching and analyzing this stuff! If you have any questions just ask! #moneyforlife #wealth #life #retirement #money #markets #stockmarket #stocks #mutualfunds #retirehappy #thesecret #thinkbelieveachieve
Great little clip of how I've been working with clients during the last 4 months https://www.sunlife.ca/en/campaign/go-digital-video/
Throughout the years of being in the Insurance and Investment industry I have been asked this A LOT. "What is the difference between mortgage protection and life insurance?" Well here is the best and easiest picture I've found to explain it. Plus the cost between the two types of coverage is relatively the same, so why wouldn't you chose life insurance?... Right?!?!?
