Wow! They say "do one thing every day that scares you." I did one thing this week... As some of you may know, in my previous life, I was a real life, full time ...musician. Yup, I did the whole broke, on the road, driving in my car to NYC and Boston and flying to Australia and playing in LA... I was part of a wonderful music community, had an amazing kick a** band, and I learned so much... But Music is a tough business to stay in, even when you're considered "successful", and I wanted to raise a family and have some stability. I tried to keep music in my life and honestly still write and play, and believe it or not, my CD's still sell and I still receive Socan Royalties and Itunes cheques... BUT.. I haven't played live in over 10 years (at least)... Well my friend Stephanie Finn just pushed me (don't you just love friends who do that?), and though not a huge deal really (it's just a little busker gig at an event that she's running downtown Burlington), it's still exciting. When she asked me if I'd like to play, I thought "wow, I'm scared"... then I thought "then I guess I should say yes". So I did! Like I said.. it's a pretty low key thing... but I'm excited and nervous to play again and will pass along some more details as I have them.... In the meantime.. August 10th is what I know... Downtown Burlington at http://burlingtonmade.com/ Regardless if you come to see me play or not (I really hope playing guitar is like riding a bicycle... please be forgiving people!)... You should definitely check out her events... Stephanie Finn has been a remarkable force in our community both in Alton and all of Halton region and built events that support LOCAL makers of all spectrums... and she's building it.... keep an eye on her.. this is only the beginning of what she's about to do!

Hey folks! I've been asked to play again at Burlington MADE by Stephanie Street Events this Saturday in the Village downtown Burlington... I'm on from 10-12am... and I know it's only a couple hours.. but I'm considering bringing the keyboard along for some piano tunes! hope you'll join me.. kid friendly and open air.. let's enjoy last of summer together! P.s.. this may be the last one for awhile.. I haven't sorted out what's next while balancing work/family..... all I know is I'm so enjoying making music again! Thanks for all those who have been coming out to support!
