So incredibly proud of the work we have done with our client Hayes Fry Law. They truly are a unique law firm doing business differently, yet better, in the legal industry. Not to mention, their leaders are top-notch people. I'm flattered and honoured that they trusted me with their marketing, their message and their brand. More exciting things to come!

Do you ever have one of those moments where you ask yourself what if this is as good as it gets or am I doing enough? No matter anybody’s perception of me or how well you know me, I’m constantly asking myself these questions when I get in a bit of a rut. A work rut that is, where I feel like my options are limited, or maybe I’m just not doing enough, or promoting myself enough. Or maybe it’s me not saying the right things when it comes to selling myself and ...my skills to those who are interested in working with me. Loads of questions. Lots of doubts. But highly motivated. And now, before I start playing the blame game (which two years ago I did that incessantly) I try to take a different approach. A healthier one, where I am making myself 100% accountable. Quit being a victim, use my time wisely, don’t be so lazy. All things I am guilty of going. So the next 5 months will be interesting. Not just because obstacles set in place because of the global pandemic, but how I rethink, reorganize and pivot my business and really what I want out of my career moving forward. Nothing like a little middle-aged deep thoughts to keep me on my toes. Any and all advice welcome here. See more

Marketing is never really "safe". It's often misunderstood, criticized, judged, and those of us who chose marketing as a profession we chose because we're natural-born, creative risk-takers love telling a great story. The fearless kind and the kind that’s willing to colour far outside of the lines. Like, waaaayyyyyyyy outside. We question things, and because we push the status quo, people often wonder if we've lost our marbles. We associate things and put 2 and 2 toget...her to reveal the guts of the story; we're passionate and find creative, engaging ways to tell those stories so that it strikes an emotion with an audience. Our job is to ask the deep, personal questions, push clients to the edge only for them to see how far we can really go with an idea, a story, a concept. We embrace change, we act boldly on our convictions and we understand that the willingness to take risks is what drives innovation. Any client I've worked with understands that I bring this and then some to the table. I'm not careless with budgets and I don't beat around the bush. Realism is my middle name. I know what works, I understand the process in which "marketing" happens (and yes, it starts LONG before the tactical stuff goes public) and I'm always willing to bet that halfway through any contract with a client, the light bulbs go off. They "get it". They understand. They light up and trust the process. Good marketing requires fearlessness and if the history of marketing & advertising is any indication, we all know that fearlessness and risk have paid off (hello Apple, Nike, Volkswagen, and Dove, to name a few). Our efforts strike a chord and evoke emotion and it's up to us () to meet the customers on their journey. Every single step of the way. Marketing goes far beyond just the fluff you see in ads. The connection and purpose goes much deeper than that. Fearlessness and risk mean that if failure is not an option, then neither is success. #fearlessness #risktakers #marketing #branding #opinion #consultant #andreaholscherconsulting #yqu #brandstrategist #truth #sethgodin #stevejobs #advertising #customerjourney #keepingitreal #innovation #mondaymotivation
