Lots of people buying and selling homes. As an engineer we frequently get called in by either the buyer or seller to comment on issues or concerns. A home I viewed for a client a couple of years ago had a lot of structural problems, and the elderly woman who lived there ended up moving into a nursing home and sold the house. Someone has flipped it, without taking out any building permits. I hope the new buyers have a good home inspector.
