Gratitude changed my life. I'll say it again a little louder GRATITUDE CHANGED MY LIFE! I've been through some dark times and learning to see the tiniest bits to be thankful for has truly helped keep me going. When I felt everything collapsing around me and within me, I knew I needed a mindset change. Cue @passionsquared and the #gratefulaf challenge. A daily promt was exactly what I needed to shift my focus and thus was born my gratitude attitude! There is A LOT to complain... and worry about in our day to day lives. It's far too easy to fall into those negative thought patterns and begin to spiral. Conscious gratitude is the best way to stay grounded and remain focused. Sometimes being thankful for drinking a coffee while it's hot is what gets me through. (Stylists I know how used to room temperature bevvys we get ) I want to share this with you because times are bleak right now. It feels like there's not much to be thankful for, after all we can't hug our families or share meals with our friends, there's no leisurely shopping and let me tell you I MISS SEEING MY CLIENTS SMILING FACES! However, I am thankful for masks allowing my guests to still get pampered. I am grateful for social media allowing us to remain somewhat connected. I am thankful for the slower pace that is teaching me it's ok to not hustle 24/7. I am grateful for everyone who supports my vision. Whether its sitting in my chair, sharing my posts or hyping me up (@secretstosocialmedia I'm lookin' at atchu!!) I am grateful for this messy life and I promise, if you start looking for one thing every day to be thankful for, your gratitude attitude will bloom!! How fantastic is this pixie shag?! Sometimes cutting off old color is the best approach for achieving a new hue. In this case we took a few inches of faded red off which made it much easier to get to a natural looking blonde. And oh how that makes her eyes POP!
