#SelfCareSaturday: The joy in life is his who has the heart to demand it. Theodore Roosevelt. It is never selfish to take care of yourself. Taking time to nurture yourself is critical and yet necessary for your well-being. It is not a sign of weakness, but a sign that you have the inner-strength to give your body what it needs to feel nourished, loved and cared for. . .... . . . #DesignHer #AndreaLeja #HolisticDesign #SelfCareSaturday #SelfCareTips #LoveYourselfSaturday #MindfulnessPractice #MindfulnessMedidation #SelfActualization #SelfReflection #SelfCare #SelfLove #WellnessJourney2021 #WellnessJourneywithAndreaLeja #Holistic #NurtureCare See more

Holistic Design is not just a fancy buzzword. It is the future of the industry! In the never-ending race for profit, interior trends are now seen as similar to fashion - they are becoming seasonal and date incredibly fast. Design is not just how something looks like. It’s also how it feels like and how it works for you. And this cannot be overstated. Design is not just how something looks like. It’s also how it feels like and how it works for you. People who spend more time in nature tend to live longer, happier lives. Since we spend most of our time indoors, we need to bridge the gap between nature and our indoor reality. This is how we developed our design principles and building processes. Get to know us more. www.andrealeja.com @minhpham.design ... Our #WellBeingWednesday is the downside of the Hustle Culture. Hustle culture is about being a human doing rather than a human being, which is dangerous in many ways, says April Wilson, MD, chair of the preventative medicine department at Loma Linda University Health in California. The drive to work harder, stronger, and faster might feel productive at the moment, but not knowing and recognizing your physical and emotional limits (or straight-up ignoring them) can be dire t...o your wellbeing. Rest as hard as you work. Self-care isn’t a commodity to be earned, but because hustle culture treats it as such, we’re burning out at an alarming rate. When we measure our self-worth by outcomes (how much money we make, how connected we are, how many followers we have), it lends to the toxic belief that we’re only worthy if we’re working, so any self-care we attempt is canceled out by feelings of guilt and shame. Look at self-care as a long-overdue debt that you owe to your mind and body, and more importantly, use it as a reminder that you’re worth being cared for. The Importance of Harmony and Unity in Interior Designs Though unity and harmony may sound similar, they each play distinct roles in the way we experience interior design. They can be described as follows: Harmony is the sense that all of the elements of your design fit together. They may fit the same theme, aesthetic style, or mood. The important takeaway is that each distinct piece seems to belong together in some way, even if it is not identical to anything else.... Unity refers to the repetition of particular elements throughout your design whether they’re colors, shapes, or materials to pull the look together. Harmony and unity are two foundational, yet often overlooked, principles of interior design. In reality, they play a key role in giving the rooms of your home a much-needed sense of calm and stability. They’re also the elements that set exceptional designs apart from the crowd. Keep them in mind while you’re tackling your next big project. Trust us, they will make a noticeable difference. Have you ever made a conscious effort to include harmony and unity in your design?
