EAT YOUR GREENS One small thing you can do is add more greens to your diet. REMEMBER WHEN: We dressed up as Marnie and took pictures to prove it? We drove to Florida every Summer and had to bring in all the luggage? In fact i think you were so excited to get to the hotel room that you tripped over the luggage you were bringing in! ... We went fishing in Florida and caught some Edible fish that you could hardly wait to get home and eat (not). We would hide the fish under our veggies so we didn’t have to eat it? We would play basketball and bring that big jug of Gatorade to the courts? We would go to Beach Video and pick out whatever movie and lollipop we wanted. Oh and talk to Fred the parrot. We would meet all the kids in Florida and show them the sky lounge. We (you) would throw out your turkey sandwich and invite friends over for lunch for something better like crap dinner and hotdogs or grilled cheese? We planned a massive (successful)Year 2000 party in Florida for all the adults. We would ride the waves with Auntie Gaby and Uncle Dave. I hope you are riding the waves up in heaven Daniel boy Daniel. We miss you and your adventures, and stories, and zest for life. Love your sister, Xoxo

DO YOU JOURNAL? Some verbalize their thoughts Some think their thoughts... Some ruminate on their thoughts Some write down their thoughts The 5 Minute Journal is a great way to start your day. It allows you to write down 3 things you are grateful for, 3 things that would make today great, and 3 affirmations that resonate with you. Sometimes we need to just see it in writing as a solid reminder on how we want to live our day! It really has helped me get grounded and aware of what i want to accomplish JUST for that day. JANUARY INTENTIONS Half Way through February most people find themselves with their hands in the proverbial cookie jar thinking to themselves - shoot, i did it again!Old habits die hard.Am I right?It is not until weare in theawarenessof the habits that we have created over the years, where we can officially change them for good. Want to start drinking more water? Get a mason jar and fill it every morning. Heck, you can fill it before bed and screw the cap back... on so you are all ready to go In the morning. Drink it before you do anything in the morning. If you are working from home (like most of us!), you can place an elastic band around the rim of the jar every time you finish the entire mason jar. Aim for threeElastic bands around the rim of your water jar. Fourif you are an overachiever! Building in (easy) habits into our daily routine is the best thing that works for me. CHRISTMAS MUSINGS Do you ever find yourself having a conversation (with yourself) that looks something like this: I shouldn’t eat that because I already had X.... I will have to work that off later. If I eat this delicacy now, then I won’t have dinner. I am not really hungry atm, but I really want this now and I deserve it. Oh silly! Now look what you’ve done. Eat less tomorrow or fit in another workout. And the mental chatter continues. It does not care. It just is there waiting for you. Until you interject. Until you stop your mind point blank and override your negative thought loop with more loving statements like: I accept my body where it is right now. It is ok to eat Christmas desserts, it is not the end of the world. It is ok to miss a workout to be with family instead. It is ok to indulge over the holidays. Easier said than done right? I get it, something I am working on as well! We are all a work in progress, and I would rather be upfront with you that I am not a perfect human. No one is. So I say enjoy the holidays Eat your favourites. Feel good about it. End of story. Get back on the horse the next day!
