Hello everyone- an update from us. We're still working hard. The majority of our staff are working from their homes. However, a small contingent remain at the office. Please continue to send your tax information by email or call ahead and drop your paper materials off at the table by the door. We know some of you may have time to be getting your financial materials together right now. Additionally, we know many of you are facing challenges and uncertainties due to COVID-19. We're following closely the new financial initiatives from the governments. If we can assist with these matters, please get in touch.

As this pandemic continues we continue to adjust. Many of our staff are working from home. We have a table in our front entrance for drop off and pick up. PLEASE CALL OUR OFFICE BEFORE YOU COME. 519 284 2654. Phone meetings, Skype, FaceTime and WhatsApp meetings are available. Atlin & Associate, CPAs COVID-19 Statement- March 15, 2020 We are very concerned for our clients, staff and community about the possible effects of COVID-19. We also realize that tax filings create refunds, access to HST, Trillium and child benefits and allow compliance with your legal requirements to avoid penalties and interest. These items are critical for families to live their lives and for businesses to provide services, employ staff, and comply with regulations. We enj...oy interacting with our clients and working to provide these services. Atlin & Associate will follow the advice and guidance provided by Huron Perth Public Health (HPPH). However, to remain available to everyone over the course of these events, we are asking our clients to please limit the requirement of coming to our office in person. Please consider the following options: 1. Getting Us Your Information Send your information to us by email. Over 50% of our clients have moved to purely electronic methods of providing us data. It is most common to send a PDF file of these documents. If a PDF is not available, please consider whether you can use a clear photograph of your document with your smartphone. If it is not possible to send your information by email, please consider using our secure physical dropbox located to the left of the office entrance door without needing to come inside. We’ll call you shortly to confirm that we have received the files. 2. CRA Representation Please ensure that you have given us online representation through the CRA. You can email us to enquire if that is complete and how to do it. Most of your t-slips are populated on- line on the CRA website so we can get missing slips and data this way. 3. Payment of Invoices You can pay your invoice using e-transfers or call us with you credit card. These methods are secure and avoid person to person contact. 4. Meetings and Questions If you have questions as always, please contact us by phone or email. Some issues are best discussed face-to-face. With prior appointment, we can connect through Skype or even FaceTime. We’d love to speak with you electronically, in whatever way is convenient to you. If possible, consider whether you can delay an in-person meeting until the crisis abates. We appreciate your cooperation during these difficult times. But all of you have supported us for many years and we won’t abandon you now. Let’s take some reasonable precautions and get through this crisis together. SPAM Email Notice Atlin & Associate has become aware of a spam email that was sent out from one of our accounts titled Follow Up and sent between 4:40pm EST and 5:15pm EST on January 17, 2020. If you received it, please delete that email. If you opened the email or clicked the link inside, we encourage you to perform an anti-virus and or malware scan of your system and monitor your sent emails to ensure you were not affected. Our security audit of the incident shows that ...no client data or personal information appears to have been compromised.
