Although the movie was called Garbage! It’s really about all the pollution we create by just living in our homes: food waste, sewage, emissions, garbage, recycling. Connecting the dots between our everyday lives and how they impact the environment has never been so fascinating and fun!
California sunsets are famous for a reason. On the edge of the Pacific, after a long day at the Golf Industry show, I wonder if my father ever thought about the pesticides they used to maintain his golf course.
Boston, home to @mitpics and @harvard #, was our base when filming our latest documentary about marine biologist Tom Goreau. Spring is a magical time.
While filming Coral Ghosts, I was lucky to dive down into coral reefs around the worldbut none could compare to the beauty and biodiversity of Indonesia’s.
As we share our journeys to all of these amazing destinations with you, it’s important to remember that the people are what truly make or break any experience. Here’s to the best crew we could ask for, and our unforgettable adventure in Indonesia. #tbt
The sunsets in the Marshall Islands will stay with me always. These tiny atolls in the middle of the ocean are home to wonderful, welcoming people, and everywhere you look is picturesque.
Just a few faces of the growing movement across North America to stop the use of non-essential pesticides. Join the fight, spread the message, and look for ways to help in YOUR community! #GroundWarDoc #BeyondPesticides #MontgomerySafeGrow #PlayClean #MakingtheInvisibleVisible #TakeActionFilms
In Mexico, Chicle gum is made using extract from the Chicozapote tree. Machetes are used to carve grooves strategically, so that the tree can heal and continue to produce later. The extract is then taken back to a hut like this one where it’s heated and churned, until it becomes thick and sticky. #makingtheinvisiblevisible #takeactionfilms #chomponthis #DarkSideoftheChew
Diving the Great Barrier Reef was thrillingbut heartbreaking. This iconic part of our planet is under threat as the oceans warm and coral die.
A picture may show you just how remote the Arctic Tundra is, but it’s impossible to explain the feeling of being so far North. This was our first stop in Arviat, on our 11 month odyssey that followed marine biologist Tom Goreau, in our latest film to be released in 2020.
Incredible places are under threat all over the world. Thanks to people who take action, they are being saved all the time. These are the stories we like to tell at Take Action Films.
First came the poster.... trailer coming soon!
