Russia is at it again. Have you restarted your home router? The FBI is advising users of consumer-grade routers and network-attached storage devices to reboot them as soon as possible to counter Russian-engineered malware that has infected hundreds of thousands devices.... Cisco research lab discovered the vulnerabilities on Wednesday and reported an infection of over 500 000 devices. Google assistant is helping with teaching kids (and people) how to say please and thank you. In our house we have had the google assistance setup for just over 7 months. I remember when I first brought this home. I was explaining to my wife all the things it can do. Look it will turn on the TV for us. Hey I can control the temperature in the house. I can even set the house alarm with nothing more than my voice. We even have it connected to a few light switches. My wife loves ...the shopping list feature. She will be cooking dinner for Hayley and run out of milk.. She now just simply says Hey Google add milk to the shopping list. And we can see it on our smartphones when we go grocery shopping. But in doing this Hayley has heard us say Hey google and Ok Google a lot. So Much so that she now starts asking google for her own requests like hey google play Mini Mouse Bowtique In only a way a toddler (and her parents) can understand Sometimes google will pick up her voice and other times she just keeps getting louder. The funny thing here is. People are starting to have concerns with how kids are interacting with the Virtual assistant. People are looking at this a rude way of talking.. Just yelling at something until you get what you want, and this can translate into who kids talk to each other as they grow. Google is on the verge of changing that. It was announced at Googles latest I/O conference, they will be releasing an update that will give positive reinforcement to people when you ask it for things while saying please and thank you. During a brief demo, the Assistant was shown interacting with kids, and saying things like thanks for saying please, thanks for asking so nicely, or you’re very polite.
