Head on over to Andrew Hunter Music for all solo/band dates this summer - announcements soon
Well, I don't have riches or a gold record, never won a Juno or an ECMA, but this is about the coolest thing I could imagine. When my band's debut ep came out way back when, the first single "The Feel Good Song" was inspired by, and dedicated to the tragic loss of two friends : Luke Reid and Andrew Whelan. Last year, Andrew's parents had reached out and asked me If I could "send them the music" to my song. I enlisted the help of my wife and then my friend and former music t...eacher to transcribe and translate the song. A few days ago I got this message with this picture in it. They had this custom made /welded for their home by Jamiebrowndesigns I was speechless. A whole range of emotions came flooding back. I am truly humbled that a song I had written with the intention to help, could do that- and actually be a catalyst for happy memories. It's truly humbling. I am extremely honoured for the feel good song to be cast in iron for eternity. Yesterday, we decided to spring clean and I went through every nut and bolt in my basement. I noticed a yellow piece of paper had fallen on the floor. It was a picture of Andrew I have had on my toolbox since he passed. Nice to see you, Bud :) With Love to the Whelan family.
