ENGAGE COBOURG: We are seeking your feedback on the East Pier and what it could potentially look like. Where We Are Now - Detailed Design of the East Pier The M...BTW Team has been working with Town of Cobourg staff to evolve the East Pier conceptual design that was prepared for the User Needs Assessment. We are reviewing new information generated by the on-going studies and identifying new opportunities for the site design. We are updating the base plans to include the Coast Guard’s current site redevelopment plan. We are developing the East Pier Detailed Design and need community input in refining the site components, programming and materials palette. Engage Cobourg - Have Your Say Visit our public engagement platform to participate by watching the Virtual Presentation and completing the survey. You must register as a Cobourg citizen or business owner first. Visit www.engagecobourg.ca
Some photos from today’s Grand Opening at 52 King Street West, Cobourg. Andrew Smith Building Design was proud to be a part of this exciting restoration and renovation project across the street from historic Victoria Hall.
I hope everyone is safe and well, and managing through these difficult times. On Saturday, April 4 at 11:59pm most construction projects and related services were removed from the list of essential businesses that are allowed to stay open and maintain operation. Of note, no new residential building permits will be issued. Projects that have begun construction and are substantially progressed will be allowed to finish. Single family homes, semi-detached and townhomes that have... a foundation permit issued can be started. Condominiums, mixed-use and other residential buildings with a Stage 2 building permit may continue. Residential renovations may continue if work was started prior to April 4. Over the last few weeks our office has transitioned all staff members to be able to work from home. Out of an abundance of concern for our team members, clients, family and community our office has been closed to outside visitors during this time and will remain closed until further notice. Needless to say, this transition has been challenging. Our team has had to manage the transition and current projects as well as personal issues related to health, family and finances. Like you, we have been affected by this pandemic and are doing our best to help stop the spread of the virus. While we have remained in operation, working remotely, all files have seen significant delays. We are committed to all of our existing projects, and rest assured, we will continue to advance all files to the best of our ability. Projects that also require outside consulting services such as developers, surveyors, engineers and planners are also experiencing additional delays as we work with their mitigation and transitioning strategies. We ask for your understanding during this difficult time, and encourage you to reach out via email if you have any questions. Our goal, at this time, is to ensure that all clients have the necessary documents, drawings and assistance over the next month to be able to start, or re-start their projects once the restrictions have been lifted. We are prioritizing projects within our office to help facilitate this, while also continuing to manage substantially complete projects currently under construction, and assist in the efforts to temporarily close construction sites. Thank-you for your cooperation during this process. Stay safe and healthy. Take care, Andy
At Andrew Smith Building Design Inc. our top priority has always been customer service and delivering a high quality product. However, during the COVID-19 pandemic, our bigger concern is the health and safety of both our staff, and our clients. For this reason, until further notice, our offices will remain closed and we are unable to meet with clients or consultants in person, either in the office or on location. Rest assured, we are continuing to work on our current projects... and are available to answer any questions via email or phone. We are hopeful that this situation will pass and that we will be back to somewhat normal operations in the near future. We appreciate your patience and understanding during all of this and we apologize for any inconvenience. We will continue to monitor the situation and will keep you updated as things change. See more
