Air cooled and old school. Ken King was gracious enough to let us do registration for the @hagerty Banff Touring Series at his collection. Not a bad place to have a coffee and start a drive.
Autumns arrival.
It's the journey, not the destination.
The tour has wrapped up, but with hundreds of miles under our belts and some amazing views it won't be forgotten anytime soon. Thankyou to @hagerty and the crew for making this event happen. See you next time.
Who needs a leafblower when you have dual exhaust.
Day 1 of the @hagerty Touring Series Banff edition is complete, and after a great night in Radium Hotsprings we are back on the road for another day of touring the rocky mountains, see you on the road!
It's always a pleasure to spend time with a 300SL Gullwing. Day 1 of the @hagerty Touring Series Banff edition begins tomorrow. See you on the road!
The forest fire smoke engulfing the southern part of BC inspired a look back at a day spent with @johnhorgan4bc / @ndpcanada flying over and inspecting the elephant hill fire sites in 2017. Shot for @governmentofbc
Shades of green. @neuschool 1972 Mercedes Benz 280CE.
11 years, 22 events with @classiccaradv and our first time as participants, not staff. Feels really good. @neuschool riding with the 1972 Mercedes Benz 280CE, @minniesnooch being the best navigator and co pilot I could ever ask for. Also parking tonight in Fernie beside the Benz and the 1966 Lamborghini 400 GT 2+2 was a pretty nice place for the mini to sleep.
It's nice to still see the work for Infiniti being used even a year later. Vancouver Island trip was a success. Can't wait to get back on the road.
The building is called Kikékyelc, a place of belonging. Two generations of Métis youth watch drummers from the Sage Hills group perform today as we documented the opening week of Kikékyelc in North Kamloops. Finishing up three days of shooting with a great crew, thanks @opticskill... / @davidaoudsound . See more
Shoot day for the Métis Nation of BC. Honored to be working for them again.
Working on a documentary for BC Housing over the last two days has allowed me to meet more than a few interesting people in our own city. I've posted in the past about people I've met on my travels around the world that have inspired me. I admittedly just never thought it would be at a brake shop in Kamloops. Doug surprised me from the moment we started interviewing him. First with his deep understanding of the human condition, followed by vocalizing his respect for his fell...ow citizens from all walks of life that made me rethink some preconceptions of my own. Doug owns Budget Brake and Muffler on West Victoria Street, and if you want a good story about fly fishing or Scotch, or even a brake tune up. I'd probably stop by. Here's to another day with a great crew tomorrow: @opticskill / @davidaoudsound
On set today with BC housing, Kamloops city council member interviews.
1999 Audi A4, 4.2l swap, loads of s4 upgrades, slammed and rowdy, for sale in Kamloops this blueberry sounds unbelievable, and is pushing mad ponies. Livin' that low life. Owner: @neuschool @ Kamloops, British Columbia
Due to Covid-19 the @classiccaradv Fall Classic is running north of the border this year, and separated into two events to make sure we are being as safe as possible. Today was day 1 of the "Fall Alternate" the first round of the 2020 Classic. @neuschool and I made it to one of our favorite locations in the interior of BC, one we've shot at and driven by many times over the years. So welcome to all the participants of the Fall Alternate 2020, enjoy the journey, and see you ou...t there. Photos: Andrew Snucins / Nick Neu @ Kelowna, British Columbia
Dear Diary, Well folks. This one isn't a fun one. But it's a serious one, so do me a favor, sit around this little facebook campfire and listen for a moment. I... know it's been a tough year for everyone. But I'm putting a call out to see if we can't get some more support for a person that really deserves it. Sometimes in life you meet people that are worth every second of time you can give them. People that make the day a little brighter just by being there. If you've ever met one of the Dodds family, you've quickly realized they are, all of them, those type of people. Julie Dodds is one of the most caring, kind, and supportive people I have ever met in my life. A mother of three incredible children (arguably 4 with how silly her husband can be most days), shes always had the energy of half a dozen people, and now her Kidney disease is starting to catch up to her, and despite her absolute hero status, even heroes need a little help sometimes. This gofundme isn't for the kidney transplant itself. There 'may' be a donor that's been found, just waiting on the final tests. And fortunately we live in British Columbia, so the surgery itself is covered. But Julie will have to live in Vancouver for 2-3 months. On the gofundmepage I've linked below there will be a breakdown of the costs associated with this, and we're looking to raise around 15k to help cover the expenses. Any funds donated above and beyond this will be donated back into the Kidney community. My wife Samantha Minnie Snucins and I have donated, and while it may not be much, my photography business, found at http://andrewsnucins.com will offer a 1 hour photo session of your choice and a date that works (in the Kamloops or surrounding area) to anyone donating $250 or more to the cause. Family photos, pets, couples, cars, whatever. When you've donated just send me a message on facebook or an email to [email protected]. Any donations help, and we can't thank everyone enough for their support so far. I know it's been a rough year, for all of us, so let's try to make it a little smoother for a incredibly deserving family. Lots of love, and thank you. Snooch. https://www.gofundme.com/f/Support-Julie-Dodds-Kidney-Trans
The 1970 Datsun 240z that has rallied from Panama to Alaska on gravel - with countless other adventures to its name.
A 1973 MGB-GT - A beauty @intermeccanica_int - and a 1973 Triumph TR6 wandering up highway 6 together. On the last day of Rush to Goldbridge I stuck to the Tarmac, enjoying a shorter day before heading back to Kamloops - letting these cars head to the gravel portion on their own. Fantastic event, amazing cars and some brave crews to head over the real backroads of BC. @ Nakusp, British Columbia
Less thinking. More clicking.
Day 2 of Rush to Goldbridge - turns out you can go from Grand Forks to Nakusp while barely touching tarmac, who knew ? We spent more time looking at swimming spots than cars, but the day was still fantastic with some pretty adventurous motorists braving the gravel. @ British Columbia
Not a car photo. But on our journey today we found some pretty great swimming holes in the mountains.
Day 1 of the @classiccaradv Rush to Goldbridge is in the books, with hundreds of miles over dirt / gravel roads - as well as some tarmac covered, we stopped in Oliver, BC for the evening with Nakusp tomorrows destination. See you on the road!
Pretty incredible surprise today when we got home to check the mail. @deanwilhite is one of our dear friends from our Colorado Classic Car Adventures family. And what a thing to find this amazing piece of artwork of our Mini done by the man himself. Speechless. If you haven't stopped by make sure to check out http://deanwilhite.com for more of this guys radness. ... Much love, can't wait to get this framed for the office! Photo: @minniesnooch
Great meetup with photographer / filmmaker @tomivorrichards , who couldn't bring the MGB GT but showed in his rad 1985 Transporter Doka. Legend.
Happy Friday! I tried to think of a way to rhyme '1934 Aston Martin MkII/Ulster' with a clever saying about heading into the weekend and failed. So get out there and enjoy the road! Have a great weekend.
Thumbs up for Thursday. Our good friends Salomon and Jackie in their 1979'ish' Porsche Carerra to keep the theme of blue going this week. Drive for adventure. @ Grand Mesa, Colorado
1986 911 RUF BTR, another on the hit parade of rare cars I've wanted to meet on my travels. It certainly didn't disappoint, supplied with a 3.4 ltr flat 6 turbocharged powerplant, this car sounds as good as it looks. Also turns out that in 1984, the year I was born, a RUF BTR won the "worlds fastest car" contest held by @roadandtrack magazine.
It was used as the inspiration for the McLaren F1 by designer Gordon Murray, and its easy to see why. They are as great to look at as they are to drive.
Blog Post: http://blog.andrewsnucins.ca/?p=3172 5 years ago today we were in St. Julien L'ars, France celebrating Aeriol and Richards wedding. Happy Anniversary you two! Let's take a peak back at their blog capturing the day! It's been amazing to look back at these photos and remember a wonderful week with good friends.... (It should be noted I am still the undefeated champion of beer Croquet representing team Canada, successful wedding shoot)
For #tbt its nice to remember one of the more unique platforms I've seen in the @crcrally Canadian Rally Championship. The 2014 Mitsubishi Mirage AWD, driven by Arkadiusz Gruszka and co-driven by Maciej Sawicki. @ Bancroft, Ontario
The NSX has solidified itself as an automotive icon through fantastic looks and an incredibly dialed in driving experience. I admit what surprised me the most was how tall the stock gears are. At 120km/H it was 'almost' approaching the top of second. Wild. @heavymetalgymkamloops owner Angus and I go way back, and as you can see from the second photo our automotive tastes have diverged quite a bit since the days of time trialing the Botanie Valley road by Lytton and racing from Lillooet to Vancouver together. But one thing has remained, a mutual love of internal combustion engines and the open road. @ Kamloops, British Columbia
48 hours, 1400km through familiar territory and new, thousands of frames, and another journeys end - racing the sunset.
Location scouting today in Kananaskis country went well for tomorrows shoot. It's nice to get back to it. Welcome to the rockies.
Astrid is going in for open heart surgery this weekend. The tiny but mighty 998cc finally gave up the ghost after many @classiccaradv events and countless miles around North America. With a replacement core sourced, surgery begins. Back on the road soon for more stops like this.
Making new friends. 1970 Innocenti Mini, assembled in Italy. Pushing 80 - 90 HP in a pretty gnarly 1098 powerplant. Built by mini racing guru Geoff Tupholme. @ Kamloops, British Columbia
Throwback to two images from the same moment in Colorado at the 2019 @classiccaradv Silver Summit. Our good friends Deanna and Nolan Kitchener in their 1962 Austin Mini Woody Wagon. @ Colorado
