Bernie showed up at Phinneys this morning at 5 am. He was camping out for their big SALE
Incase you haven’t heard, the Town of Kentville has sold the Calkin Building
Here are sketches that go with the proposal to erect a 157 units on Park Street. This would require the Town to rezone this Commercial lot to allow for this residential complex. There will be a public session where i love to gather your input on February 3rd at 6 pm on Zoom. This could be an entry to more great things in Kentville, what do you think?
We will be without the Annapolis Valley Apple Blossom Festival again this year. The Board of Directors have decided to postpone the 88th AVABF to May 2022. You can read more on their FB page.
Public Participation Meeting! We need your input!
I hope you tuned into last evenings council meeting. There’s a proposal in place with a Developer who wants to put up 157 residential units in a building on Park Street, adjacent to the motor vehicle property (currently a vacant lot that has been waiting for someone to use it for a decade or so). We have a housing shortage and my personal thoughts are clear. When people downsize, they have a hard time finding anything in our beautiful Town. Many end up leaving to other Towns ...or communities. This is something that I don’t want to see. I want you to be able to stay in your Town. Kentville is your home and we must work on projects like this. In order for this to be a reality, rezoning must happen. There will be more details to follow but I’m wondering what your thoughts are about this project? Looking forward to seeing what you think... Andrew
How time flies! Flashback to 2016 when I insisted on having our Downtown sidewalks cleared from snow. 5 years later and I’m the same person. I always work hard at what’s right. Common sense is the winner.
Thanks everyone for your kind words and warm wishes. Brahim is doing great! I was able to attend part of last evenings meeting on the drive home. I pulled over on the side of the road and zoomed in so I could give my opinion. That’s what you do when you love what you do and you love your Town.
I hope to attend the Council meeting this evening at some point but regrettably, I will be late. I hate missing a meeting or even a part of it. One of my children needed surgery and I am attending to that in Halifax. If you can, Please tune in at 6 pm and keep up to date with the happenings of our Town. Andrew

It's incredible to believe that the election was almost 2 weeks ago. It has been a busy two weeks. The Former Council had their last meeting on Wednesday and the new Council was sworn in. It went very well thanks to Town Staff. I have to say, it was a little intimidating at first but that chair was awfully comfortable lol. I quite liked it. Thanks to the outgoing Council for their time and devotion to Kentville. The work on the bridge is coming to an end soon and it looks am...azing. I love this change and it is so great for our Town. To those that still may not know, the Province is responsible for the expense of the new bridge, not the Town. The work on Webster Street is also underway. It will be another few weeks before complete but ultimately we will have better sidewalks down that way. The end result will be fantastic and much more accessible for people to stroll the Downtown. I know these detours can be a pain but if we end up with something better than we had before, it is worth it. Halloween is Saturday- be safe and be smart. Reach out with any questions or concerns any time! Andrew Zebian [email protected]
Had a great visit with our MP today, Kody Blois. We had a great chat about our awesome Town and ideas to make it better

Happy 2nd birthday to my little prince, Amir
We were contacted today by the local Legion who report fraudsters are soliciting donations for Remembrance Day, Poppies and Veterans using the Legion name. This is a SCAM. The Legion does not call or go door to door for donations
Tune in Wednesday @ 6 pm!
Don't put things down the drain that shouldn't be there!
Kentville is the place to be during the day, but there is also a magic to it at night! Thank you to all the local businesses that have gone the extra mile to gi...ve Kentville such a wonderful Fall feeling. Way more than shown in the pictures here. Looking forward to what the Christmas season will bring! #WeAreKentville
An UPDATE on the Heritage Centre’s open days! We’ve added another day for people to drop in and purchase a KCA Calendar! We will also be open on Wednesday’s, ...as well as Saturday’s, from 10-2 pm. This will continue for the month of November! Shown in the photo is Joanne Mailman, a former graduate of KCA, looking at her Calendar from Board member, Nancy Mahar. Our Pumpkin People Charlie Brown and Lucy, are welcoming visitors to the Heritage Centre! See more
