I started some really quick maturing varieties of fall and winter vegetables today. I'll be putting these into the beds that will be covered for the winter, so they will be protected from frost. Super excited to see how the multi-seeding of most of the vegetables turns out!

First year of the squash arch has yeilded nicely! Not a huge crop, but it's been a funny summer for all of my vining veggies, and I'm grateful for what is growing!

So much bounty, and still picking peas! Some of the harvest from this weekend. The garden just keeps giving . With this beautiful weather, I'm looking forward to a happy ending to the summer growing season and a nice start to the fall plantings!

The peas have been thriving during the cooler summer this year! I picked, choped and vacuum sealed these for the deep freeze last weekend and have another haul ready to pick today!

My hubby bought me a beautiful fermentation kit a couple of year ago for Christmas, but I have hardly used it. I am determined to try many recipes this year. First up, white kimchi. All of the ingredients, except the ginger, are from our garden. Can't wait until we can taste it in a few days!
