Ok moms.... let's talk about this. Today was -45. I have never in my 14 years of being a mom gone outside to do anything with my kids in this weather... I have been known to run from the car to the house during such cold snaps leaving them all in my dust!!! Smoke bomb and GONE!!! This weekend hovered around -45 with the wind fairly consistently. I went sliding with my babies three times, I went by sled ice fishing with my husband, I took my kids for sled rides.... I did ALL ...THE THINGS!!! What's the difference you ask?!? This freaking monosuit my husband treated me to! You guys I can't explain what a game changer this suit has made for me as a mom. I wasn't just touching it out. I wasn't cold and trying to rush through... I wasn't avoiding my kids requests to go outside with them because I HATE being cold... actually hate is sn understatement! I can't explain the joy it brought me to be warm (borderline hot) in this weather! I can't explain the joy it brings me as I look forward to how many activities we can jam into this winter regardless of the weather! I am no longer limited to waiting for a "nice day". If you hate being cold like I do and hate missing out on activities with your babies its time to treat yourself! I'm so excited for the opportunities this gift has opened me up to!!! My hubby is away working this weekend so I am tackling some things around the house! I am so grateful that @little_spruce_designs perfectly executed my vision! I have been struggling for 3 years to decide what to put above our bed on this wall. It had to be simple but beautiful. This is perfect!!! I am SO happy!!! Stay tuned for the rest of today's projects!!

Today we are blessed with a quieter morning. I've been up since 4:30 reading, watching videos and reflecting on the world's events and how I need to make changes and have conversations I have never before had. Yet another area of my life that is a work in progress but as you know better you can do better and that is all we can ask of people. Today is our last day of virtual school! Thank God!!!!!! The kids classwa have been praying every day that they can return to the schoo...l on Monday and their prayers are being answered. I am SO happy for my kids that they will get to see their friends and play together again! Mena is not happy to go back to masks despite ALL the effort Santa went through to find unicorn masks and all things girls to help make her like them more!! Haha And last and probably least can wr just talk about this mug?!?!? My hubby treated me to a new coffee maker for Christmas and this beautiful new mug just makes them look that much more beautiful!!! Taking time for myself in the mornings before the chaos of the day has me breathing a little deeper and feeling a little lighter! Happy Friday Friends!!!!!

Today was not a good day. There was a lot of yelling. The kind of yelling that breaks your heart and makes you feel like a piece of shit mom.... This virtual learning us WAY too much screen time for Mena. Its making her act out and misbehave. Its too much sitting still for wahly.... our teachers are killing it dont get me wrong! But what our teachers and schools gave been asked to do this week is NOT a fit for my kids. If you are a family who has chosen virtual learning this ...year and it's working for you that is great!!!!! I'm happy for you. But it is not a fit for my family. All of that being said with our numbers climbing the way they are here do i want schools.to open?!?! eeekkkk I don't know!!! So for this afternoon we curled up and listened to the end of one of wahkys classes together. All three with tears in our eyes for different reasons and we got through the day. Now my work day today has been pretty minimal and so I will be spending the rest of the day hiding from my family to get through the rest of my to do list. One more day and then we can all breathe a little deeper this weekend and prepare for the next hurdle in front of us...
