Today I’m feeling pretty down, I’m not going to lie, this is all starting to get to me. So I’m going go out, get some TP and other essentials, drop it off at grandma’s and disconnect from the news. I have to remind myself this will all pass, and I’ll be able to hug my partner in just a week! Until then I just gotta keep on doing things that make me happy. Go on walks with the dog, crush a workout, make some delish bread, finish my calligraphy project and play some video games... haha. What are some of your guilty pleasures? I’m a huge Assassin’s Creed fan, but I finished the last game and now am playing Fall Out 4. Also, how gorgeous are these gals in their robes? With all that’s going on I can’t help but to dream of what will come after. More appreciation for the everyday and the simple pleasures in life. I’m so excited to see how spring, summer and fall will be like at the new family cottage. We’ll be planting some lavender, lemon grass and other plants on the property to hopefully help keep the bugs at bay. Even though this trip is one of my favourites to date, it started off a little rough. During our layover, even though we were in the same plane and terminal, somehow my luggage was taken off and left in Chicago. I was without my suitcase for three days, and I was dying for a change of clothes and more comfortable shoes for hiking. Luckily I had my camera and all of my gear, so I wasn’t too worried. It was just a bit of an inconvenience. But all that didn’t really matter once ...we were on the road on the way to our next destination. Sometimes you just have to let go and enjoy the moment, and focus on the positive, make the best out of a situation. Leave your baggage behind and life your life to the fullest. I’m so grateful for this guy. Copper’s got some funny quirks but I love them all. Not our choice, but Copper’s tail was docked when he was a pup, so when he’s excited instead of shaking his tail he shakes his whole butt. He LOVES snow, and is always doing mini flips while catching snowballs, and rolling around in the snow. He’s a bit of a grunter and we joke around that he sounds like a piglet. Did you know that scent and memory are closely linked? So much so that a particular smell can bring you back to a specific moment in your life? I think it would be so beautiful to have a wedding day fragerance! Save it to wear on your special day, and then relive it on special occasions like your honeymoon, or anniversary. Each time you wear it, you would be taken back to your wedding day and memories would trickle in. I'd love to know what some of your favourite perfumes are...! Since we're all different, it's interesting to see how some scents smell differently on other people. I remember once my friend's mom complimented my perfume and asked me what it was. When I told her she was shocked to hear that it was the same one she was using because it wore so differently on me. Isn't that crazy? My current favourite at the moment would have to be Jour d'Hermès, but it's so pricey, and I find it doesn't last very well on me, haha. The scent, however, is heavenly. Hello, gorgeous! I know you’ve wanted to treat yourself (and maybe your partner too ) to a boudoir photography session, but something is holding you back. The thought of getting down to your knickers in front of a stranger plus their camera can be a little intimidating. I hear you! But I do want to let you in on a bit of secret. You are beautiful inside and out. All those flaws or imperfections are what make you, you. Your partner loves every single curve of yours, and I... know it takes some time, and lots of practice of self-love, but you should too. I can sit here and tell you to accept yourself, and gives you tips and advice, but it doesn't mean a thing if I don't practice what I preach. Ever since I could remember, I've been insecure about my body. I would always compare myself to others, or look at unrealistic expectations in magazines, and social media, and follow terrible hashtags like #fitspo. I would save outfits I would dream of rocking "someday". I want to change that in 2020, and learn to love myself, stop comparing, and to stop saying no to things I want to do because I'm worried of how I will look, or what people will think.
