From our Bishop: The Bishop’s Christmas Healing Service for Our Diocese Sunday December 20 Advent 4... Brothers and Sisters, The energy of Healing and hope is something that we all need each Christmas tide. Some of our parishes have planned a variety of memorial services for Christmas this year. They will certainly be affected by the protocols we must follow. Some parishes, because of Covid restrictions, have had to cancel their services. As Bishop through my prayers for all of you, I have been led to hold a Diocesan healing service that will weave together each our thanksgivings, petitions and prayers. This service will bind us all together as a Diocesan Family in unity of prayer and love. In addition to all of the healing events that will take place in your area, this service is meant to join our hearts and draw us together as one family. The service will be online at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday December 20 Advent 4 I now offer the invitation for you to submit any names of loved ones to be included in our prayers. I ask that you indicate: In Loving memory of _____________________ and Please pray for: __________________________, as there will be many prayers for healing of mind, body and Spirit. Also indicate if or not, you would like to have the person’s name appear on the screen during the service. Because services like these require much work, it will be pre-recorded. Should you wish to remember a loved one with an outward sign of a financial gift, please give to your local congregation.

Food Bank: St. George’s Church Gambo, is now collecting non-perishable food items to support the Salvation Army food Pantry. Please remember those in need in ...the community when picking up your groceries and pick up an extra item for the food bank. You can place your items in the container in the lobby of the Church when you come in. Thank you for supporting those in need in the community. See more

Parish Christmas Project: We will again this year be doing a Parish wide, Christmas Outreach project. Though this year have been a difficult one for us all, in... the midst of a pandemic, however, for many in our world, it has been so much more difficult, and the needs have become so much greater; so we ask for your support, in helping to make someone else’s Christmas just a little bit better again this year, by supporting our Christmas Outreach project. Funds raised will go to the Primates World Relief ‘World of gifts’ for projects as helping to provide better food security for families, supplying health care clinics with PPE’s, providing clean water to areas in our world, or for Pandemic Relief in indigenous communities, these are just a few of the projects that the funds collected can help make possible. An envelope is being provided at your Church for your donation to the Christmas project. Let us work together toward a more just, healthy and peaceful world for all. See more

The schedule for Christmas Eve Services in the Parish: Dec. 24th is as follows: 2:00pm Holy Trinity, Terra Nova, Holy Eucharist 4:00pm St. Edward's, Glovertown,... Holy Eucharist 7:00pm St. Augustine's, Hare Bay, Service of Light 11:00pm St. George's, Gambo, Holy Eucharist Due to Covid restrictions with Capacity limits, registration for Christmas Eve Services will be taken Dec 14th - Dec. 20th or until capacity limits are reached for each congregation: please call the numbers below to register: Glovertown - 709 533 2539 Gambo - 709 674 5031 Hare Bay - 709 537 5733 Holy Trinity - 709 265 6461 Once capacity limits are reached for any congregation, please understand due to the number of services for the day in the Parish, it will be impossible to add a second service for any particular congregation.
