I made this video for Larry Kurtz, creator and artistic director of the Orangeville Blues and Jazz Festival 2019. Listen carefully during his interview with me as he describes how the idea came about and how it ultimately grew into what it is today. I showed a lot of the bikes and cars that were displayed because of the nature of the content I needed for another project. But it still gives you a good look at how a community is able to pull together and how there are unlimited opportunities for local businesses. https://youtu.be/qyHl0Mxj_kM
If by some stroke of luck the restrictions are lifted before we get too far into summer, then we'll try to put together a smaller version of our festival if there's enough time before scheduling. The advantage to Angus would be that there are NO other planned festivals this year because of COVID-19. We could possibly put together something on short notice IF we anticipate being somewhat back to normal. Musicians want to PLAY, people want to socialize, and a downsized version... of our festival could happen by bringing in a nice crowd of people this summer who have no other outdoor shows to go to. So we're going to try and be as ready as we possibly can. But either way, our primary focus is summer of 2022. (Harry) See more
