Jenna picked up her dress in August for her wedding. Let it out a little at her rib cage so she was more comfortable, added the lace appliqués cascading down her train, and added the bustle. She ordered the appliqués at the time that she ordered her dress straight from the designer so it was a perfect match. A great option for a custom look. I hope you had such a wonderful wedding day. Miryam took her beautiful mermaid lace dress home in July. All she needed was a bodice take in from bust to hip and the simple single bustle. I absolutely loved your dress, and I hope you had the most memorable wedding day! #cochranealberta #cochranesmallbusiness #homebusiness #weddingdress #alterations #gownalterations #yycbride #2021bride #weddingdressalterations
Jadah came to me after some massive weight loss. Originally her dress had a mesh keyhole back that just didn’t fit properly and wanted more coverage to be able to wear the proper undergarments that made her feel comfortable. After removing the old back I built a new full lace version. I had no adjustments to make on the physical dress because it fit Her beautifully after her weight loss. I added some extra lace in her neck line, added the belt, made her shawl, Did a hem, And ...added her bustle. This was one of the largest projects in July and it was such a pleasure to transform your dress that you liked to a dress that you loved. I hope you had the most wonderful wedding day after all of the planning you did! #cochranealberta #cochranesmallbusiness #homebusiness #weddingdress #alterations #gownalterations #yycbride #2021bride #weddingdressalterations See more

Kayla took her incredible lace wedding dress home a few weeks ago for her July wedding. We did a lot of work on it to bring her vision to life! Here’s the run down: added pearl straps, added bodice lining, take- in bodice, add peak to top of sweetheart neckline, bustle, hem, add crinoline and skirt lining, remove mesh on neckline and replace with lace. It was so worth all the hours, what an amazing end result. Gaby came in this weekend with her gorgeous floral gown that she bought 2 years ago in anticipation of grad! She will need a full size take in and a hem. Here’s an action shot of us in a fitting. Thanks to her mom, Joy, for the pic! Stay tuned for the after in a couple weeks.
Riyan picked up her grad dress yesterday. This gorgeous glittery gown needed a hem and manipulation of the straps to make it more practical. Happy early graduation Riyan, thank you supporting local!
Katelyn came in with a dress 8 too long and a dream of a slit. In order to accommodate the slit, I needed to push some fullness from the back waist towards The front to create the slit seem. We also removed the stiff trim that she didn’t love and took out some crinoline. Such a beautiful dress to work with, and congratulations to Katelyn on her upcoming graduation! Photo 1,2 after, photo 3, 4 before.

Back at it with the gorgeous lace. I had the privilege to do a hem, straps, and 5 point bustle on this custom Grace Loves Lace dress. One of the longest trains I’ve seen but it was only the lace, so it keeps the dress light to wear.
Another airy chiffon wedding dress graced my shop this week. Did a 3 point under bustle and a full hem with a train shortening.

I built/added the lace straps, and did a front and train hem to get it more lightweight for the wedding day! I also made a a cathedral lace veil! You are so beautiful Shonnica! I hope your wedding was fabulous!
You want pockets in your wedding dress? You got it! Added some pockets to this 6 layered ball gown! Honestly I was a bit skeptical that it wouldnt work out and not be seamless, but it turned out amazing! I had to tack the layers together so the bride could easily slip her hand in and out
Working on some gorgeous custom lace work this week. The bride ordered extra lace from her dress supplier so we could build some seamless add ons. We did straps built from the matching lace, as well as custom veil. It will look so perfect as a matching set after all is said and done!
Big bustle job today! 3 hours later and this magnificent ball gown has 3 under bustles and 5 over bustles!
I love seeing stories like this. What a unique opportunity to continue such a special tradition. I’ve had the priviledge of altering a handful of heirloom dresses and they are always so delicate and precious. Seeing how dresses were put together 50-100 years ago is such a cool thing to experience.
I wanted to share these gorgeous photos that one of my grads got done this week! I made this dress custom for her from inspiration photos and a bit of imagination. She initially wanted this exact dress in all emerald green but when we couldn’t find her colour, we ran into this unique gold foil floral and fell in love! Her dress features a wide neckline with a fixed wrap and a strapless bodice base. The box pleats in the skirt give it the glamourous volume that the floral screams for, and it has pockets! Happy graduation Mikayla! Creating your dream dress was an absolute pleasure.
Just finished up this gorgeous ballgown, I added these droop straps and took in the bust. The straps are removeable!
Good morning! I wanted to share these gorgeous photos from Rachel’s big day on Thursday! Did a sleeve hem, sleeve and bust take-in, as well as the dress hem and added the strappy corset back to help give her better support. I love getting wedding day photos, it’s the best part of my job Remember all you need for a wedding is 2 people and love. All the extra is just a bonus!
Custom grad ready for out the door! This stunning 2 piece has an ivory base and a blush overlay. It has handkerchief cut hem with horsehair. The Swarovski crystal zipper adds some detail to the back.
