Like many of us, WILDNorth will be feeling the effects of COVID, but we will strive to ensure that Alberta's imperiled wildlife continues to receive the best possible care. You can help us do so by attending this year's virtual event (via donation), raising pledges in our WILDRun, spreading the word, or by simply donating! www.wildnorth.ca
CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) NOTICE Regarding the recent concerns of Coronavirus (COVID-19), we would like to reassure you that Animal Medical Centre is maintaining a high level of disinfection standards and is committed in providing a clean and healthy environment for you. Additional precautions being instituted: We request that clients observe the directions from Alberta Health Services, and not attend the veterinary practice in-person if: - They have recently returned from ...travel outside Canada. - They are feeling ill and/or exhibiting respiratory illness signs. - They have been in contact with an individual that has tested positive for COVID-19. Animals owned by individuals in self-isolation or those who have tested positive for COVID-19 may be brought to our practice for non-elective treatment; however, you must call ahead to make arrangements as practice staff will be taking additional precautions. As part of our regular disinfection routines, we use a hospital-grade cleaning solution to disinfect the clinic and have also increased the frequency of cleaning high traffic areas. Commonly touched surfaces (door handles, counters, tables, seating areas, keyboards, telephones and point of service terminals) are cleaned as frequently as possible. We encourage clients to minimize the number of people attending appointments and to respect social distancing measures. We have removed unnecessary items from the practice that may act as fomites such as magazines, coffee, kid’s toys and practice leashes. It’s important that we all take responsibility for our health and the health of others. Please be sure to: Wash your hands regularly. Stay home if you are sick. Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue or your elbow while coughing and sneezing Be careful and stay informed of the symptoms. If you are experiencing any of the symptoms call Health Link 811 to discuss additional precautions. At this time, we will be open our regular business hours but that may change in accordance with recommendations from Alberta Public Health Services and the Alberta Veterinary Medical Association. Please call for the latest updates or if you have any questions. For more information, visit www.ahs.ca/covid
