Before you travel for ANY reason, check with your workplace or school board. Screening and requirements after travel can be different for some organizations. S...ome may exempt people who travel for essential reasons while others may not. A period of isolation may be required before returning to school or work after travelling. Know before you go! http://ow.ly/fLqy50D7EdV

Boozhoo! Effective tomorrow, January 9th, AON will be implementing a partial lockdown due to the steady numbers of COVID-19 in the NWHU region. This partial lockdown includes: - a 24hr checkpoint will remain in place until further notice. ... - Only residents of AON community and band members will be granted access. This means, we will not be allowing people through to access the ice road to limit the exposure of COVID-19 to our community members. - Any band member who is not a resident of AON community, will have to pass screening before entering. All persons in the vehicle will be recorded and security has the authority to deny access to non-residents and non-band members. - If you are a band member visiting from out of district, you will be required to self-isolate for 14 days upon arrival to the community. Security will assist in ensuring this is followed. - Our travel restrictions will also remain in place. AON residents will be required to self-isolate for 14 days if travelling outside the borders set out by AON (Onigaming-LLC) for any reason. - Children under the age of 18, who have a parent or grandparents in the community, will also have visitation and the community member will need to register their visitor prior to arrival. - Essential services will continue, as well as our housing projects. - Checkpoint security has the duty to report any person/s who do not respect or abide by our community policy to Treaty 3 police service. Those who do not abide, are subject to the consequences as per the Treaty 3 Police. We kindly ask that people be respectful of these new restrictions, as we are doing the best we can to protect the community without having to go into a full lockdown. We trust our community residents and band members will do their part in keeping themselves, as well as those they may come into contact with safe. We remind you that the restrictions/policy that was in effect at the beginning of the Pandemic in March 2020, can still be implemented as the Pandemic Response Team and Chief and Council see necessary. Miigwetch, AON
