We share the urgency of Canadians to ensure access to life-saving vaccines as rapidly as possible. Our government is operating with this sense of urgency every single day. We remain on track to receive 6 million vaccines by the end of March, 20 million between April and June, and 84 million doses by the end of September. All Canadians who want a vaccine for COVID-19, will be able to receive one by September.... As we continue to vaccinate Canadians, our government is also working around the clock to review and approve new testing technologies. We’ve deployed over 20 million rapid tests to provinces and territories, and we will keep working with provinces and territories to ensure they have the tools they need to fight COVID-19.

Nous partageons l'urgence des Canadiens de garantir l'acces a des vaccins indispensables le plus rapidement possible. Notre gouvernement opere chaque jour avec ce sentiment d'urgence. Nous sommes en bonne voie pour recevoir six millions de vaccins d'ici la fin mars, 23 millions entre avril et juin, et 84 millions de doses au total d'ici la fin septembre. Tous les Canadiens qui souhaitent se faire vacciner contre la COVID-19 pourront le faire d'ici septembre.... Alors que nous continuons a vacciner les Canadiens, notre gouvernement travaille sans relache pour examiner et approuver de nouvelles technologies de depistage. When it comes to fighting climate change, doing less will cost people more. The best way to deal with the climate crisis is by moving towards a net-zero emissions future. Today, we tabled legislation to hold the federal government to its commitment of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050. Our ambitious plan will not only protect our environment and keep our world livable for our kids and grandkids, but it will also create new jobs, help businesses grow, and strengthen our economy.

Canadian businesses owners have shown tremendous resilience through the COVID-19 pandemic: stepping up to support their employees and their communities. As we face the second wave of this virus, our Government is proposing new targeted and adaptable supports for hard-hit businesses and their employees, including: Introducing a new Canada Emergency Rent Subsidy (CERS), which would provide simple and easy-to-access commercial rent support. Providing an additional rent subsid...y top-up of 25% for businesses that have temporarily shut down due to mandatory public health orders. Expanding the Canada Emergency Business Account (CEBA) to offer an additional $20,000 in partially forgivable financing. And extending the Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy (CEWS) until June 2021. We promised to be there for workers and businesses every step of the way and we’re doing exactly that.
