Tax Season is in full swing and we are crazy busy!! Just some food for thought - Be aware of scammers out there. In other words people pretending to be CRA re...presentatives. They do not contact by phone!! They do not demand payment!! And they do not have recorded messages!! If CRA are to contact you, it will be by letter through snail mail or if you have email set up through them, through that email. If you do have a phone call from a scammer, do not be afraid of them, just hang up. You can report it through Service Canada website. See more

Did you know that you can calculate payroll deductions from Revenue Canada website for your employees? Their website has many tools to do this. Their website address is cra.gc.ca and go to businesses and payroll deductions. Another website that is handy is webtod.com. It too has the calculations for payroll deductions. As each year changes, both websites are updated regularly. Also you can download and print the tables that calculate income deductions, CPP deductions and EI deductions.
