Meet Milo & Jen, Trans Connect's peer workers! Learn a bit about our programming and what we offer! <3
Lovely video put out by the Francophone School Board, SOGI123, and a local family celebrating our LGBTQ+ youth! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QhlAGWkcG_U&t=162s
Starting in June, we'll be launching a book club for local Kootenay trans people, the LGBTQ+ community, and allies. We'll be reading trans authors like Kate Bornstein, Janet Mock, Susan Stryker, Ivan Coyote, Kai Cheng Thom, Alok Vaid-Menon: an opportunity to tap into trans lives, trans art, trans experiences, and trans cultures! Our first book is "Gender Outlaw: On Men, Women, and the Rest of Us" by Kate Bornstein, a classic in trans literature and, of course, an influence on our local trans community through it's namesake, the Gender Outlaws group. The club will be free to trans+ participants, and by donation to the Christopher Moore Community Fund for allies. To sign up, please DM Trans Connect or email [email protected] to arrange shipment of books, zoom links, and other fine details.

Do you or someone you know do electrolysis in the East or West Kootenays? Are you an ally to the trans community? Trans Care BC wants to connect with hair removal providers in our area to give people better medical access to this service! It would make a big difference in the community, help us build this map!
