A pretty gull along the lake. Not sure if the exact name as there are quite a few different ones. I’m thinking it’s an adult Bonaparte Gull. I am enjoying my new lens.

Another great day at the Canadian Raptor Conservancy. Cecil on the left is a red morph Eastern Screech Owl and Gordie on the right is a grey Eastern Screech Owl. They are actually brothers.

And so it begins. The core of the Milky Way is now visible. It is very low in the sky and using panorama techniques I was able to get the arch. The only hiccu...p is that this is at 5:30 in the morning. Met my pal Taryn Roberts in Cayuga area at 2:30am. We had a lot of light pollution to deal with and on the drive home I realized my camera was in crop mode. Nearing home I saw that the river was dead calm and took a chance to check out Port Maitland. Very happy with the outcome. Edited in Lightroom and Topaz Studio. I must be part vampire. Nikon D850 with Nikon 14-24 mm lens. 8 shots f 2.8, ISO 1600 20 sec. Photo merge in Lightroom and some Topaz filters See more

Misty ice at the base of the American Falls. The sea gulls give an idea of the size of the rocks and ice.

Layers of color. Loved the bright yellow pop of color with the row of seagulls. Sunshine and blue skies lit the water.

Oh my the stars. I am at peace with the world when I get to spend some me time under the stars. It's too early to see the Milky Way but the stars put on quite a show tonight. Even saw a couple of meteors.

I love exploring an area and looking for a unique angle. A wide angle lens gives a different perspective to an ordinary scene.

Port Maitland lighthouse from the back. Wonderful cloud formations framed this beautifully. Streets lights and channel markers provided pops of colour.
