Study music online at home by SKYPE, or FACETIME, or WHATSAPP, or ZOOM with professional degreed music teachers that are QUALIFIED! Study BASS, VOICE, GUITAR, UKULELE, and other stringed instruments. Buyer beware! Make sure your teacher is trained and qualified. My degree is a 4-year degree from a university music department (VIU) in Canada, and Steve's Associate degree is from Malaspina College. He also has a BA from UVic. Your kids need this quality! You'll like the lessons too - they are fun, stimulating and informative!

Some musicians I know have had cars vandalized while performing. Things get stolen from our cars. Equipment gets lost, and other things can happen. I remember the year that Reba McEntire lost her entire band in a tourbus accident. After that, this story has to be one of the worst!

We have lost one of our last important Jazz Singers, Doris Day died this morning at age 97. Most people don't know that Doris was also an important animal rights activist and how hard she worked to end cruelty to animals both in the film industry and in everyday life. Every year Doris' birthday party at her hotel in Carmel-by-the-Sea was a fundraising event for her animal shelter and for food, blankets and medicine for needy and abandoned animals. I said to @Steve Sutton this... Spring, that next year we will attend her birthday party at Carmel. I hope her work will go on. I for one will not forget her voice, the ladylike way she conducted herself, and her deep Caring and concern for needy animals. Rest in peace Doris, knowing you have done so many good things. Facebook said I posted this 13 years ago on this day! Right now, who knows when singers can work "live" again? Last Saturday July 4th I should have been singing at a wedding, but it is now postponed. One thing is for certain. My hair will Not be this long if and when my band gets back to work!
