Today I am shooting cover images for my Lakeview Animal Rescue Club - book series, a personal project that I am very excited about. I have two amazing kids and a beautiful sweet-natured Labrador booked as my models, as well as a gorgeous private property with the red barn I envisioned when I was writing the story. I am soooo excited! :D

We had a nice holiday in British Columbia over Easter break, visiting our families, and of course I brought my camera. As soon as I met my sister's boyfriend I knew I needed this shot of their gorgeous inked arms. I love how it turned out! I have a couple other shots from this Couples Session that I am dying to share, so stay tuned! Huge thanks to Kat & Dustin for laughing at my stupid jokes and patiently posing in the wet snowy weather to appease my creative needs. <3

Models Needed for Book Covers Girl #1 Criteria: 10-years-old, chin-length blonde hair, pale skin. Girl #2 Criteria: 10-years-old, long brown hair. Girl #3 Criteria: 10-years-old, red hair.... Girl #4 Criteria: 10-years-old, black hair. 3 Boys are also needed. Criteria: 10-years-old. Details: No experience necessary. The models will be posing with pets such as kittens, puppies, bunnies, adult cats and dogs, hugging the animals, making facial expressions (happy, worried, sad, laughing). The images will be used on the covers of a chapter book series about children and rescued pets. More than one photoshoot may be required, approximately 2 hours per photoshoot. Photoshoots will take place in Lethbridge and surrounding area. Models may be required to arrive on-location in pre-arranged costumes (typically shorts and t-shirt, sandals), wear minimal makeup and have their hair styled. Parent/legal guardian must be present and attend the child model at all times. Compensation: Models will receive a copy of each book on which their image appears (signed by the author), and officially thanked in the Acknowledgements of the book. The books are planned as a series, so more than one book would be received by the models. Model Release: Parent or legal guardian must sign a model release agreement which allows promotional usage of the images at the author’s discretion. The agreement can include identity protection for the child model if requested (not using the child’s name in the credits, for example). Photo session last night with my amazing yoga instructor and I'm really happy with the results. Brenda cycled through the poses like a skilled professional (isn't she impressive? Look at those poses!) while I shuffled lights around and snapped away. :D If you live in Taber, I highly recommend Brenda Berube Yoga. I've been going to her classes since last year and I love them! Bridal portrait session with my gorgeous friend Amy yesterday. We accomplished half of what we set out to do, but the chilly wind forced us to reschedule the second part of this photoshoot. I know I'm being mysterious but it's worth the suspense, we just need some warmer weather and some sunshine. Doesn't she look beautiful?
