Big shout out to Steve for writing a grant and Active Kids, Healthy Kids Annapolis County for providing us funding for equipment (training belts, track markers and stop watches).

Anyone new to speed skating and would like to try it out please email [email protected]. October 19th (that’s tomorrow- Monday) is the start date for new skaters and our learn to skate skaters that are returning.

We're ready to hit the ice starting tomorrow with our recreational-competitive and skills development groups together at 6:30(not new skaters or our Learn to Skate skates). As you can imagine, there are some changes at the arena and some changes in how we'll go about our practices. Information was sent out- please review before tomorrow.

We will be on the ice starting this Monday, October 5th. If you haven’t already registered and been sized for skates come on out. Bring a friend. We are open to all ages.

Dryland training at 6:30 -7:30 pm tonight. Skate fitting for registrants 6 pm onward.

Tonight (Sept. 14th) 6 pm for skate fitting and 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm dryland training.

The time has arrived !!!! We are still waiting to get our ice times sorted out with the arena. It looks like we will not start on-ice practices until October 5th. Until then dryland practices will start (for those interested) skate fittings. This is for all returning and and anyone new. Please note that the warm room will be closed until further notice due to COVID-19. As such, we'll be doing registration and skate fitting at the Kingston Recreation Hut (the building on the... south side of the arena). If you still have skates from last season, please try them on and send us an email with the following information: If you are new to the program and want to try it out send us your shoe size and we’ll ensure we have skates for you to try on. September 14, 21 and 28 6:00-8:00 p.m. - registration and skate fitting at the Recreation Hut 6:30-7:30 p.m - dryland practice on the field behind the arena If you would like to have a copy of our COVID-19 guidelines for outdoor activities please let us know and we will send you a copy. We'll also have a set of guidelines for on ice activities.

Hey everyone- our speed skating plan has been approved by Speed Skate Nova Scotia. We are presently waiting to find out what our rink is willing to give us for ice time. Stay tuned.

The Sport Nova Scotia Support4Sport Awards were announced yesterday. The awards recognize athletes, coaches and volunteers in all Provincial Sport Organizations, including speed skating. Coach Lauren was selected as Speed Skate Nova Scotia's 2019-20 Coach of the Year. Congrats Lauren.

Size 12 speed skating suit from our club. Only used for one season. EUC. $90. This was Bobby’s suit and he had room to grow in it.

As of May 20, 2020 the RBC Centre has not made a decision about August bookings for COVID-19 precautions. Landonedge Skating understands skaters will be excited... to get back on the ice as soon as COVID-19 precautions are eased.
