Hello, We, at Sapawe Air, are currently doing some flights in two northern communities. The citizens we work with are wonderful people, most with families. On S...eptember 9, we have two de Havilland beaver aircraft flying in, basically empty. We would love to fill our planes with useful items to give to the communities. Items such as clothing for all ages, footwear, non-perishable food, diapers, sanitizing wipes, paper products, toys, games, books would all be be appreciated. Really, anything you think they could use. We would like to only take items in good condition. Anyone who would like to donate can contact me via text or messenger. We will arrange pick up. Thank you in advance! We are so excited to bring Christmas in September Note: As a member of the community of Atikokan, I ask that you support local first. We have local businesses and individuals that rely on donations. Please only give what you feel will not be taking away from those here. Thank you

ATTENTION FAMILIES - The Ministry of Education recently announced it will allow school boards to stagger school start dates for students attending school in-per...son for the 2020-2021 school year. Staggered starts will be in place at many of Rainy River District School Board schools. View the information at: https://www.rrdsb.com//Safe%20Caring/Staggered%20entry.pdf
Going back to school after a summer break can be an adjustment, even under normal circumstances. This year brings additional challenges and stress because of CO...VID-19. Its important to acknowledge that returning to school will look and feel quite different this year, whether its in-person learning or remote learning. You can help your children to know what to expect, be flexible when things are uncertain, and feel confident about the return to school. Read the tip sheet for parents and families: http://bitly.ws/9tTq You can also contact our Mental Health Leader, Tracey Idle, at [email protected] for more information.
Please join us next Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. for a virtual information session on our Return to School plan.

Keeping kids in schools and daycares during COVID-19 is a team effort. Children can only share viruses if they have them. How can parents keep kids virus-free? ...Adults who spend time with children need to stay 2 metres from those not in their social circle, frequently wash their hands, practice cough etiquette, and wear a mask when needed. Reminder to parents that the daily health screen will be posted to HiMama and we ask that you complete it prior to arrival at the centre. We still have a paper copy just in case :)

Hi parents. We have changes that are coming into effect on September 1st but we are unsure at this time if we will be offering a school age program. We are waiting on further guidance from the Ministry of Education. Currently, we are unable to use the central space and I am working hard to get another space licensed. I will keep you updated as I know more. Feel free to submit a contract with the understanding that we will not be operating a school age program until we have the go ahead and are in compliance with Ministry of Education licensing standards. Thank you for your understanding. Please feel free to call, message or email if you have any further questions. Kristi
