A lot of you know that we grow corn in Newfoundland and Labrador. But what you may not know, is not all of it is grown to end up on the BBQ or in the boiler.... Some corn is actually grown as SILAGE corn - a version of the grain that is processed into ANIMAL FEED. NL is not only actively working towards becoming self sufficient in regards to our own food, but also in elimating the need to import feed from the mainland.

As many of us know, earlier this month St. John’s, N.L. was hit with an unusual, record-breaking blizzard including category 2 hurricane-force winds and 93 centimeters of snow. To help those most affected by the #NLblizzard2020 and the subsequent state of emergency, we have donated $25,000 to the Community Food Sharing Association. We hope that this donation will help those in need and assist our community in getting back on track. The donation was made on behalf of Anthony... Insurance and Intact Insurance, through Intact Financial Corporation. Marissa Maw and Keith Flynn presented our donation along with a few extra bags of food to Egbert Walters, General Manager of the Community Food Sharing Association.
