Même si nous ne sommes pas ouverts au public, nos intervenants dans les bureaux de circonscription travaillent toujours fort pour les citoyens et défendent votre position dans vos interactions avec le gouvernement fédéral. Notre chargée de cas Chantal Talbot a reçu un appel d’un électeur qui n’avait pas reçu de financement de l’assurance-emploi depuis quelques mois. Chantal a contacté Services Canada et a découvert qu’il y avait un problème dans le système qui a été pris, et la constituante a pu recevoir son argent. De plus, Chantal a été en mesure de lui fournir quelques liens avec des pistes d’emploi qu’elle pourrait approcher. What happens at our Constituency Office? Even though we are not open to the public, our caseworkers at the Constituency Offices are still working hard for citizens and advocating for you in your interactions with the federal government. The type of work varies in different constituency offices, but normally we will deal with access to entitlements, social services and funding. We would like to share some success stories with you on what goes on here and how we might be able... to serve you. Week of October 26th 30th. Our caseworker Chantal Talbot received a call from a constituent who had not received Employment Insurance funding for a few months. Chantal reached out to services Canada and found out there was a glitch in the system that was caught, and the constituent was able to receive her money. In addition, Chantal was able to provide her with a few links to job leads that she might approach. I have my money from EI so I wanted to let you know. I think our paths are going to cross again someday! Thank you too! Keep doing what you do please, tax payers need a place to be heard and have someone represent us. Your work and office does that always remember that! I also applied for 3 jobs from your link, thank you! I just want you to know that I am so thankful for our phone call and emails and if everyone is as amazing as you and as helpful for the people Anthony Rota will always have my vote and I am going to share with everyone how they should too and why! Last week we saw a group in North Bay advocating for governments at all levels to address the issue of homelessness in our communities. The government of Canada has announced the Rapid Housing Initiative (RHI) which will provide a total of $1 billion dollars to quickly create up to 3,000 permanent new units of affordable housing across Canada. The first round of the Housing Supply Challenge has been launched. This will seek solutions to address gaps in housing data which are often outdated, inconsistent and not openly available, making it more difficult to manage housing supply issues. Participants will create technology or methodology-based solutions to improve data collection, sharing, analysis and integration, thus improving decision-making on housing supply. This first round will disburse up to $25 million to f...und a variety of new solutions.
