May is Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Month. Cystic fibrosis (CF) is the most common fatal genetic disease affecting Canadian children and young adults. There is no cure. This Saturday, May 26th, when you purchase a coffee or a tea at Anthonys Cafe, all of the proceeds will go to Cystic Fibrosis! The first 10 customers will get a free cup and saucer!

Kim and John would really like to thank Lois Case for her wonderful comments! They just wanted to let everyone know that there was also a guest chef there on Valentine's day. Lisa Hobb is a great chef, she went to school with John, and often helps out on these special dinner nights. Thank you Lisa! You are amazing!

Went to Anthony's for dinner last night for Valentine's. It was very good, the owner, Chef John cooked up an amazing feast. The decor was really nice and ambience was wonderful. I would challenge anyone to have had as good or better dinner experience that I and my Valentine. Look out Earl and Angelo's, Dinkle's, you are about to have some competition be afraid, be very afraid. Dinner was excellent, I thought I was dinning with the judges on Iron Chef America. And even for th...e breakfasts we have had there so far, I can tell you the difference from our usual spot to Anthony's was like night and day. Our old breakfast place always left with that greasy spoon feeling, but from Anthony's I just felt good. The difference between a cook and a chef I suppose. I have to harp on the poached eggs. Man, I have never eaten poached eggs in a restaurant yet that has got it exactly right for me. I don't know how he did it, but John cooked these to perfection and in a way that they had kept their shape, nice and high, not flat and looking they came out of water. The whites were perfect, there was nothing slimy about them at all. The beacon was delectable and the hash browns to die for. All around this is a dinning experience everybody has to have at least once, but I warn you, once is all it will take. If you want an inexpensive breakfast but hate the greasy spoon, come and dine at Anthony's on Front Street in Belleville, just before the North bridge, you will never look back. See more
