4-H Nova Scotia is creating a podcast and we are looking for senior members who are interested in being a part of this exciting program! This is a great opportunity for members to learn new skills on the job! View the volunteer position descriptions at https://bit.ly/37Mm9f3\
Memory Monday ... many would be thinking rally in a usual 4H year. This flashback with the junior and senior poster winners is to a time when ‘4-H is a Step in the Right Direction’ was the theme. Still holds true in 2021!
Memory Monday with former Host and Hostess honourees (Ambassadors) from the St Joseph’s and Foremost Clubs.
Our condolences to a long time 4-H family.
In case volunteers still require the youth safety leaders training session, here are the final dates to participate.
Wanted to share that this pillar of support for the 4H program will be beginning her well deserved retirement the end of the month. Laureen Boyd started her career with the Dept. of Agriculture, in Antigonish, in 1988. She has a passion for working with and for the 4-H community. She was a wealth of information, and went above and beyond in her interactions with all clients, especially her 4-H clients. Hopefully, once restrictions are lifted and 4H activities return, we will have the chance to see Laureen at some 4-H events, post retirement.
Always a favorite at the ENSE or Provincial Show, Memory Monday highlights a club tug of war team. Possibly the Foremost team, but we'd love to know who you recognize to be able to link this photo with a timeline and club.
Help Support a Great Organization!! Thank you in advance!
With the Anniversary Planning Committee meeting last week, we've dug out some more photos from the past. This Memory Monday photo is one of 4-H Representatives, possibly from the early 1980's (???) The photo includes Weldon Smith who passed away last week. Weldon was a 4-H Representative who continued his 4-H involvement as a leader after leaving the staff role. His presence at 4-H events will be missed. Currently, many of these former staff continue their 4-H support as judges, leaders, and resource people.
Support Nova Scotia 4-H ! and maybe become a lucky winner!
